Also, can anyone remember how quick the war slowed down after we bombed the hell out of Hanoi for three weeks which we would never have had to do if we would have done what McArthur said in the first place. Can anyone say Neutron Bomb? Since we no longer have treaties with the Soviet Union (as it no longer exists) now there is only Russia supplying nuclear materials to the people who say we are infidels and must be killed unless we convert to Islam. The message in the Koran states that anyone who does not convert to Islam must be killed. I say we do what the Romans did to the Carthegians. They killed everyone of them and salted the land so that nothing would ever grow there again. Guess what, not many people are living there now. So use the Neutron Bomb and while I am ranting on this why in the hell are we defending a bunch of Arabs who hate us and won't let us use their country as a base even to save their asses after we already saved their asses. Nuke them all and let the one and only God sort them out.

I was watching TV this evening....FOX News I think.... When an ad appeared which described the genocide taking place in Darfur..... The narrator concluded her diatribe by stating that President Bush isn't doing a damned thing to stop this carnage and that (as a result) he is delinquent in his duties as President......

Well, it's true that Darfur is a horrible situation....... So is the situation in the middle east, likewise all over Africa and as a matter of fact all over the world.

But President Bush isn't at the core of what's wrong....Far from it..... Sure George Bush isn't the President that everyone thought he would be... It's my opinion that he's simply as much a lying politician as Bill Clinton and all the bloody rest of them. But the blame is not his.....

The true blame lies with the so-called "religion of peace"....Islam....

Islam is the religion which offers 72 virgins to those who die in the service of Allah....(What kinda dip-shit male fantasy is that?)..... It is the religion whose Holy Koran states plainly that the infidels must either convert to Islam or be killed....

For this reason we have a worldwide plague of filthy, cave dwelling cretins who have nothing better to do than to dedicate their otherwise meaningless lives to one bloody and evil cause.... Killing or converting the infidels to Islam..... After all, there's some major pussy to be gotten here....

Condeming the religion is not correct. The factions that ferment hate and espouse terrorism are the radical fringe...but Islam is a huge religion...their fringe is a terrifyingly large number of people. The condemnation of Moslems only contributes to the problem. Like all religions, radical fundamentalists that have no room for tolerance of others, greatly magnify the problems.

Sorry, to be one who disagrees, but the record needs to be clear...its not religion, its (radical) people that make life difficult...we have learned to tolerate one another on this forum...it is a micro example of what people can do to reach accord. We need a macro solution to the radical/terrorist problem the world currently faces...it will not be easy, and it will not be fast.

While I have huge problems with the United Nations...they do have one great strategy: Educate the Girls...

Educated girls begets educated mothers, who in turn teach and educate their children, boys or girls...

There is no way we will ever be able to kill all of the terrorists...each life we take probably generates three or four more future terrorists...imagine if your older brother was killed by an "enemy nation, religion, political party, you add the noun", you and your siblings and your cousins will all try to become the one to even the score....

Maybe professors shouldn't be allowed on these forums...I fear we don't communicate well with an audience that is not focused on learning the specific topic being addressed...but then again, learning is what this forum is about.

I am in aggreement with you Prof, however, I can understand the venting when you watch the news and see the deaths of many good people being tallied up like its an Arcade score. But, just so everyone is clear, we are a great nation because of our tolerance and that we are willing to send our children into harms way to help foriegn people live free of oppression regardless of their color, religion, ethnicity,etc...! I know becaue I am still someones child who does this job not to kill bad guys but in the hopes that in some weird way I can make a difference. I might not convert a Muslim to Catholicism but

I'm about as politcal and religious as a grapefruit, but I have a theory that someone may want to try out:

- Build a wall. Either literally or figuratively. We have plenty of troops to cover that border, and have them within ear-shot of each other (or other perimeter devices set in place).

- NO ONE GETS OUT.

- Weapon drop-off areas will be clearly marked. Don't bother tampering with these or trying to get stuff out of them. They will be destroyed by laser-guided missle at regular intervals.

- If we see you with a gun/RPG/C4, you'll be shot. Not in the knee or leg, but in the head. None of this 3-strikes BS.

- If you want to leave, you better have a damn good reason. Upon leaving, you will be frisked, body cavity searched, DNA tested, photographed, finger- and ear-printed. (and you thought EL-AL was tough!)

- If you want back in, repeat the process listed above. Plan on new photographs too...just in case you got a haircut.

- ALL residents will get a government-issued ID, begining at age 1. It will be updated every 2 years. (They don't call it social SECURITY for nothin'....heh heh.)

- The 'wall' will remain in place until either a stable government is setup by the people of that country, or there's only one person left standing. The country gets to choose.

Voila! A whole new country with a minimal terror threat to the rest of the world.
