So there I was last Sunday with way to much time on my hands before the football game's were to start. Truck is kept at my work in a nice toasty building......hhhhhmmmmm what can I do for free????
I took the old SRT letters that came off the truck, I was going to put them in the honeycomb grill area like I have seen others do, plus kinda like the
SRT8's. I'm not much for bling so I ended up taking a pc of sand paper
( very fine ) and knocked the chrome plasta cote off the letters. I really liked the way they matched the wheels. I then took and sprayed the side of the letters ....ahhhhh Inferno Red...color of the God's to match the truck. Gulp 1 beer, take short break.
Next up was to cut 2 pc's of alum. 1/8 stock drill two holes, paint black, clear coat and pop rivet into the grill. ......drink 3 beers to allow enough drying time and proceed to attach the letters with 3M tape.
Invested $'s
Left over letters from debadge job 0 invested
Sand paper off work table 0 invested
Inferno Red paint, was left over 0 invested
Alum stock, taken from the job 0 invested
Machine work 0 invested
Beer..balance from OH State game 0 invested
If just one of you guy's likey..........Priceless !!!!
When I was done I still had 3 beers to go so I rotated the trucks tires, cleaned the rim's up,calipers and inner fender wells.....
PS. None of this stuff was on my Honey Do List, gotta love it.
Waz-Metal Engineering.....yeah baby....git'r done!
