What can be saved on the car after a fire like that?....chasis, block, suspension?....
 
this is the picture jack sent me monday telling me about it. you can tell the damage a lot better

First off, I'm glad to hear that Randy is okay. By the pictures it appears that it could have been a lot worse.

Tell Randy I'm really sorry to see this happen to him. I know he's on a budget, and I'm sure this will have a major impact to him.

How much is salvagable?

Do you know what caused the problem?

If you decide to start a "Randy" fund, let me know.
 
Wow!:eek: :eek: Somebody was looking over him that day. Glad he made it out alive. I must have been a real emotional moment for you as well. It makes my spun bearing look like nothing at all.
 
Bummer about the car, but I'm glad to hear Randy is going to be okay.

If you look at the flame travel, you can see that the fire/safety crew was out there FAST. Good job, guys!

Funny cars is a hand full drive when they go down the track whit out any problems so he did a awesome job saving it from the walls...:rock: :rock:

Thats a damn shame that the beautiful nostalgic funny car was hurt...:)

Glad to hear the driver is ok. From the looks of the pics, it seems like he was in their forever. I also must admit that the quality of pics and ferosity of the fire give them a very artistic touch.
 
WOW, spectacular photos. I am very happy to hear he is OK. That was one major hit in the pocketbook though.

Its a shame because is was such a nice car.

just glad he is ok sad to see a nice car go but its only plastic and metal and a lot easier to replace than the driver.. and the pictures where incredible
 
Wow, everyone said it already............glad Randy is ok. Hard to believe he only received minor burns, thats a ton of fire and heat. Photog had a great camera, pics are amazing......flames on the side profile one look sureal........truly great camera work.
