Here's my email to Mr. Michael Dushane (Editor of Car & Driver Magazine):
Mr. Dushane,
I first want to thank you for many years of great issues of Car & Driver magazine. I've always found it pleasurable reading.
I noticed a typo or research error in an August 2006 article that was recently posted online. The article is by Jared Holstein entitled "The Burnout Kings". Link to the article: http://www.caranddriver.com/features/11471/the-burnout-kings.html
In the article it states that the Dodge Ram SRT-10 has a top speed of 147 mph. This is incorrect. As documented by the Guiness Book Of World Records, the top speed of the Dodge Ram SRT-10 is 155 mph (154.587 to be perfectly accurate).
As a Dodge Ram SRT-10 owner I thought you would like the proper information for your magazine files and for your readers.
If you have any questions about the Ram SRT-10, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for time and have a wonderful weekend.
Sincerely,
Kevan
And here's a link to the actual article (if you don't want to go thru AOL's little portal for it): http://www.caranddriver.com/features/11471/the-burnout-kings.html
