Is there anyway for serious weight reduction on these trucks?

Trainman said:I weighed the following items...Front wheels and tires are 88 lbs each, tailgate is 60 lbs, and a hard shell cover is about 120 lbs. I purchased some 20X8.5 wheels with 245-45-20 tires and save about 60 lbs off the front. I weighed the truck with 1/4 tank, no spare or jack,stock wheels and tires plus the hard shell cover on the bed and it weighed 5000 lbs without me. I ran in August with 240 lbs less than normal and gained nothing!!! So don't worry about too much weight reduction.
