Finally took her down the track. I'm disappointed though. Clutch slipped bad...could feel it at every shift and could smell it by the 4th run. Heres a scan of the slips though...

Got a vid from a friend on FB who got one of my runs, he uploaded it as a REAL PLAYER file and I can't seem to get a link or even load it to my photobucket...

wow, yeah i'd hope your clutch is slipping BAD to run them times, i've missed 3rd and coasted the rest of the way and still ran faster than that. how many miles on your clutch?

35,000....It was also 100 out. Every shift I'd feel lag and then a surge. It was so damn embarrassing!

yeah thats about the same mileage on mine and its chicken fried:D know how you feel about the truck not running right too, what elevation is your track at?

I did win a 1000 buck set of rims that I'm selling to another member of my local forum for 650....thinking that's where its going. lol

wow yalls DA sucked today(bout 4300ft) your 14.6 corrects to about a 13.8@100mph might wait for cooler weather and try again

Don't sweat it. A little practice and some drag radials and you will be in the low 13's or high 12's.

I know my friends ran in really hot weather, and lost .3-.5

do you have cal-tracs ? I know they helped me alot, really no spin at all now. and nittos helped even more.

I'm going to guess this was your first time going to the track, don't feel bad it takes alot of guts to run in front of people, people get nervous about everything going on. cooler temps will def help, I know when it's like 60-65 degree out the truck runs so much better, today it was 95 here.

stock clutch and flywheel ? if you were smelling it that bad, then it probably in bad shape. I watched this guy in a new z06 come off the line very ginger, and still pull a 10 sec pass, So I kinda took in mind what he did, and pratice it a bunch.

some people feather the throttle coming off the line, that will just confuse things even more.

my friend says it's not to bad, but he has a awd jeep srt lol. then he bought a cobra mustang and he changed his mind about coming out of the hole. what all do you have done to you truck bud.

All I've done so far is the leveling kit, CAI, Torrie Tune, 170 thermostat, and Stinkers Shifter (which I need to tighten up the tension springs a lil bit more, damn 3rd gear! lol)

stock clutch and such ?

lower temps will def help trust me bro.

ok...I'm still learning all this...after all it was my first time at the track...but what is D.A.??

Density Altitude, its calculated by the temp and humidity air is more dense at lower altitudes and cooler weather making more power, the air you ran in was the same density as being at 4300ft above sea level which kills power

gatta start somewhwere bud, and if you look at the corrected numbers, that is really not a horrible run. that clutch and temps will make it feel like a whole new truck

Good luck
