Tear it all the way down...if it takes a year build from a striped block that has been magnafluxed...new journals...crank, cam, rods, pistons, everything...then once it is together...it is your build...not a Hennessey build waiting for the worst to happen...build for 1200 hp, run 8 or 9 hundred. Then drive it like you stole it.

Good points Roy. Except I have never seen a stiped block and you cannot magnaflux aluminum. It must be zyglowed/x-rayed and cracks can also be found with special spray penetrants used in the zyglow process which can be seen under a black light.

Go ask you wife, she will eplain it to you

Cracks in the exhaust are most likley caused by very tight bends, and lack of coating. Rapid uneven heating and cooling of mild steel has this kind of result. Also is the exhaust stainless or mild steel?
Looks like you are going to be fabbing up a new exhaust, make this one out of stainless. More expensive but it holds up better.
Coating with a titanium heat barrier coating, inside and out will help eliminate the cracking at the welds.

Turbo exhausts need to be free flowing.
