What did you pay for your RC window tinting?

With all this window tinting threads going on I've decided to tint my windows on the 06 RC. The previous owner (VnmPwrd) said go with a red tint. What do you guys think of a red tint?

I am leaning towards limo (5%) tint for the windows and maybe 20% or so for the windshield.

How much did you guys pay to have the windows tinted and what kind of warranty did you get?

Windshield? I went with 3M brand. Fairly light tint but 3M offered the best UV and infrared blockage....quite important living in the desert. Paid about $265 for sides and rear slider.

I wish I could do the front. Gonna get a strip on top of the windshield and possibly go darker on the sides on Saturday. Dont know the cost yet.

On my '04 RC I paid $100 for 35% on the doors and 20% on the rear window.

FWIW....two things about tinting the windshied... 1) it's not legal (but that never stopped me.... ) 2) If there are any rock chips on the windshield, depending on the size and location, there is always the possibility of cracking the windshield. GL.

I paid 160 for 5% on the front sides, 20% over factory tint on the back sides and rear glass, 20% on the entire winshield and a 5% windshield strip. Be sure to put the darker strip on top of the windshield tint. It looks normal to LEO. Mine is a qc so make sure the price doesn't get too steep. Oh and lots of tint has lifetime warranty.

In Illinois its illegal to get the side windows tinted but I went ahead and had the windshield tinted as dark as possible. It looks awesome but it sure is a bitch to see at night.

mm thats weird i bought my truck from a exotic car dealership in chicago ,,,it had 15 % on side windows and 15% on the back ,,,i had to get sides redone
here in texas cause they would not pass it when i took it to get it inspected,,,is that rule something new cause i gave my old 2006 if you want to call that old to my son ,,,he lives in wonderlake ill ,,,and he has the windows tinted ,,,i had them done here in texas ,,,i guess he needs to get that stuff off ,,,how much is ticket ??? i lived in illinios till 1985 or so never heard that till now ,,,and what happens if you drive in from out of state and you got tint ,,,do they ticket out of state vehicals ,,,reason im asking we plan to drive up there for thanksgiving ,,,dont want to get busted lol..

Of course I was just kidding about the windshield tint but you probly already know that. I have been driving since 1992 and front side tint has been illegel in Illinois since I acn remember. They love to ticket for it to. It's getting strickter all the time it seems. I will check on the people from out of state thing for you and get back with you I know just the guy to ask.

I just posted it on another forum (local forum for us)in which we have a legal section and a local police officer is a member there and is pretty good with knowing all the laws. As soon as he resonds I will let you know.

120 for %5 all around. As far as the windshield i had it done and removed it a month later because it would get me dizzy and I couldnt see shit at nite. ended just getting the top of the winshield done and that was fine.

I got mine darker than standard "legal" allowed in VA because I got a DMV medical waiver.
I can legally do the windshield,but I would rather be able to see at night.

I have had my 18% doors, 18% rear over the factory stuff, 5% eyebrow now for two weeks. I should have done this 4 years ago. 35% just is not enough. I love it. Eyebrow works so good, I dont even have to wear shades when driving now...........but I still do, heh nothing wrong with looking good!! LOL
