Fiberglass, with lock, not compatible with the wing, but I think it can be adapted removing the manual lock and putting a remote electric lock.

the cost is quite the same of the LT cover shipped and painted to match the truck, but I'm not sure about the look of the LT and the edges

Why not just go for the OEM cover for the SRT's? They made them for the 05. 05 and 06 may be different, not sure. If a lock is a cencern. You can get an aftermarket lock for the tailgate handle.

Check out the Lazerlite cover....I think it looks good and works retty good with the wing...Check out my Mcgaughys Drop Kit Thread if you wanna know how it looks.

I had the Mopar lid for a while. But the wing will NOT fit, theres to much overhang. After a while I started to feel like a rumble bee in my Yellow Fever without the wing. I had the dealer take it back and they credited me towards a Snuglid. It was only about 300 or so more if I remember correctly.
Oh ya, IMO the quality of the Mopar SUCKED! all around the edges it was very rough and unfinished looking. The snuglid finish is great and you can get nice options ( Carpeted bottom, lights, etc.)

they are ALWAYS compatible with the wing !!! :D
i just had mine factory wing to reduce a bit in width to adjust with the coversides....:star:

I wouldnt want to "chop" up my wing when there are other covers that it fits with no problem

OK, if you still have to buy one.. but i mean, if you already have a cover ( like me ) and the factory wing is to width... I saw a piece out it in center and reglued/bolted it . Perfect fit and if you don't know it , you don't see it ! :dancing:

of course I was considering that LT, they match the paint which is a big plus and it will cost even less than an OEM one to be repainted..

I read all the 8 pages of that Drop Kit post but couldn'f fine any Tonneau pics!

does anyone have some detailed pics of that LT & Wing?

thanks

There are two different OEM Wings!:D One is for no bed cover (the long one with 2 attaching locations ) the other is shorter with 3 attaching points and a center support. This one has a different wing angle, and a built in wickerbill. It was wind tunel tested and made just for the Factory Cover as the air flow is quite different with a Bed Cover.;) ;) :D

Oh, forgot, the Long Wing (for no cover) has angles that create Lift if installed in conjuntion with a bed cover!!! Not Good!!!!!!!!!

This is why the Shorter Wing was developed for the use with the OEM bed cover.

that's the point!

so bolting a wing built for no bed cover is maybe useless!

Worse,:( it will make the rear of the truck light at really high speed :2in1:

If you get a wing for a factory cover ( a small amount of fitting requiered )
then you will regain the Down force and have a more stable truck at high speeds:D :D :D

Here are a couple of quick pics of stock without bed cover and stock with Factory bed cover. I can get you some better ones later, but I gotta go :D

   does this means all my work for nothing ???  :dontknow: changing a factory wing for bed cover install...
OK, i will test it : i leave the lock open and will see what the cover does at speeds... if it has the intention on going open or stays firmly closed... If it stays closed i put a pressure measure-equipment under so i can give downforce in numbers at speeds.
