Nowwhat is slightly underestimating your gain from the headers because he doesn't like them (he always does that).:p JMB Justin dyno'd before and after with Belanger headers as his only mod and he picked up over 20 hp and 20 trq PEAK. Possibly even more in some parts of the powerband.:burnout:

I believe Justin's truck put down over 470 rwhp with Belangers, catless mids, CAI and tune. ;)

The long tube headers are definitely worth it if you are not supercharging or turbo'ing.:)

I am not Underestimating....others are just over-estimating....ohhh and a Volant will get you 20rwhp...:D

Now I'm so confused over this header subject. If heat is the problem doesn't Dan At Dc sell thermal products to protect from all that heat. belangers are hella expensive almost 3,000. I'm Just gonna go with Borla Cats delete.

OK, well I have already deleated my cats, got the PCM tune, Got the 170 t-stat, and a cold air intake and caltracs

What other "bolt on " performance upgrades can I do besides nos or a supercharger or turbo.

driver mod:D

You guys leave me alone!

I'm proud to be a consistent 14 second quarter with a supercharger...it makes me unique and different! Except for Stinker...

Justin ran before and after dyno runs without even allowing the pcm to relearn and posted the 20+ hp gains on this forum. How is that OVERestimating  Your repeated posting of only a 15 hp gain is clearly underestimating in the face of obvious evidence to the contrary. :dontknow: IMO it is a disservice to throw out unsubstantiated claims which may influence the mod plans of others who don't know any better. Do you have any back to back dyno's on your truck with and without headers which would back up your only 15 hp claim?

If Justin dyno'd his truck now, with some time on the pcm it could show an even better gain than 20 hp. :dontknow:

I think you are just wrong "Mr. Plateless". :p

Wow, you seem to be in a terrible mood.

I care what he thinks, and I think he is right.

But I understand that you don't care what I think either.

Chill man, life is too short for such drama...

One thing to consider also is the size of the header opening. I took off a friend's Bassani short tube headers and the opening was quite a bit smaller (relatively) than the Belanger long tubes ( 1.75" primaries). He had just put on ported heads so now his headers are the restriction. Something to think about. So depending on the mods and application, headers could or could not be the way to go.

i only put ONE header on, and my 1/4 mile went from 13.9 to 13.5. not sure what she would run with both headers on. I still haven't gotten that passenger side header fixed so that it will fit past the tranny :-(

Mike

You funny guy. :D
Does your truck always turn left or right now?

agreed.....if you are doing a H/C package....headers will rock....a great way to spend $10k+....

Stick, get a magnaflow!

Is it worth it to get the long tube headers and a supercharger or would it get overheat and lose some horsepower?

Get a Jet coat. They work great.
