My engine and several other boosted ones had serious cracking around the top edge of the pistons (from the top ring land up). In my case one piston had chunks that broke free, but upon closer inspection every piston showed cracking.

Forged internals = new pistons and rods. Can also do a cam while you are at it. Leave the heads alone unless you plan on a big build like turbos or a lot of nitrous.
