If you want a cost effective and SYNTHETIC version try Shell Rotella SAE 5W-40 Motor Oil. You can get it at a local auto parts store or even Walmart. It's about 3.50/quart instead of 5.50 for the mobil 0w-40.
It's fairly new.

Tested and Passed
In addition to the new API CI-4 PLUS classification, Shell ROTELLA® T SYNTHETIC SAE 5W-40 Motor Oil also has been tested and passed all tests required to be qualified against the following performance specifications: API CI-4, Cummins 20078, Mack EO-N Premium Plus 03, DDC93K214, and Volvo VDS.
