What product to use to clean Volant CAI Air Filter?

I know K&N makes an "oil" to put on a standard CAI filter,,, but would this work with the Volant stuff too? And should I use a K&N precleaner to spray it down with before I hose it off? Or is just standard soapy water ok?

I believe you can use the cleaner, the oil for the K&N is red I believe, and isn't the volant filter Blue? If so it probably would look bad??:dontknow:

You can find Edelbrock filter oil at most Auto Parts Stores. It's blue.

I use the K&N stuff. The cleaner works well and gauze oil is gauze oil. The end result is purple.

Thats what I used on mine when I had it... before I went s/c.

Like I said below.... I used the the K/N stuff on mine... the filter in inclosed in a box and unable to be seen (unless you peer through a small hole in front... having it be purple did not really matter to me.

i have a volant and they do have a cleaning kit and i have one, but if you use the k&n one, its the same shit i believe the oils feel and look the same i have k&n too.
