Hey everyone,

I've been noticing that the truck has been having a slight hesitation when starting over the weekend. Tonight we get home and I go to restart it to pull it into the garage and it won't start. I've attached a video to show whats happening inside when I'm pressing the start button. I'm thinking it's a starter gone bad, any thoughts??
Here's the link to the video on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcCc...ature=youtu.be

Thanks in advance.

low/empty battery ?
clamps on battery loose ?

Update: tried jump starting the truck but no change in symptoms. I read on other threads that a dead battery cell could do the same thing due to low cranking amps but I'm thinking it's still the starter.

load test the battery......starters haven't been a problem on these trucks (can't think of one instance in the 10 years on the forums):D

Charge & load test the battery with a carbon pile load tester (shop tool any good shop will have). Clean terminals on the battery with a wire brush. Get a battery terminal cleaner any parts store will have (cheap). Pick up some terminal protector spray while you're there. You always have to remove the cables to do it properly. Clean the top of battery & endd with some baking soda and water then rinse. Before you can successfully troubleshoot any electrical problem you must be sure the bat & cables are 100% good. Also check the other end of the cables for a good connection. The way to safely R&R a bat is take off neg first & put it on last. Good luck

header heat killed my starter:mad::D

Bad battery for sure. Change it and clean cables and you should be good to go. Bet you have stock Chrysler battery in it?
Good to see an OG around even if its just for a short time :)

An OG, haha! Never been called that before. I still come around from time to time. Well, it was the battery! Swapped it out and started right up.
