Hey Guys,

I've had my 04RC a little more than a year and really enjoy it. Between the
04 and 06's RC what improvement did DC do besides the gears (4.11 to 4.56)
(2 piston to 4 piston calipers)...was there any significant improvement in
preformance?:dontknow: Dlrs said he could put me in an 06 for around $13.oo
more than what I am currently paying a month. Just curious and weighting
my options. Either way they both rock.

Just what you've already mentioned and a different frame. Then there's the changes to the front and interior. The '06s got heated seats too. All depends on what you like. If the 06 styling is to your taste then go for it. If your happy with your current ride then keep it. From what I've heard, the 06 is slightly heavier than the 04 so that could slow it down some.

Big Dave,

I didn't realize that the 06's were weighter than the 04's.:dontknow: I thought I would ask some of you guys about the 06 and get some insights.
I thought there was better stuff put in them aside from the forementioned
items. Thanks.:)

I don't know how much more the 06's weigh than the 04/05. I think the frames are heavier and they have more interior stuff. The weight difference could be marginal. Maybe someone who has facts can chime in.

one i cant say enough about.....Rec navigation!!!!with a clock on the display!!!!!

I know my 06 RC wieghs in at 5154lbs. That seems Heavy!! But I do like the interior upgrades, and from trying to buy aftermarket stuff, it's alot harder. Because of the frame and a-arms change.

I agree with a post above, depends which look you like. You are not get to get much if any more performance, and this is only because of gears.

You need to stand back and look at the truck. The front and interior makes a different look. My opinion is the interior looks cheaper in a 06. But opinions vary which is why DC changed it in 06 :)

Ok yea, knock sensor not in the 04.

I just saw the interior on an 06 and damn I'm jealouse! The counsel is all revamped.....no room for a girl to sit between you and your buddy. It looks damn good!

'06 front are more arrow-dynamic which gives them a higher top speed...

The additional weight of the 06 would easily negate any aero advantage gained by the swoopier headlights. ;)
The 06 would have a lower top speed IMO.

You weren't pushing her hard enough. I've had my '04 up around 162 and change (according to a motorcycle buddy riding along side). Granted it took a while to get her up there. I will never try that again since I was scared as hell.... but I HAD to find out for myself.

All I am saying is the 06 is heavier with the same hp. It would have to be a HUGE aero improvement to make it faster. Just my opinion.:dontknow:

I like the 06 Better since they're more rare!!!! and since I have the first known RC and first on the streets...
