Being new to the SRT10, I was curious as to the opinion of others that have owned there trucks for a while. Do you feel the value of these trucks will increase over time? Are they collectible?

Some time in the 2030's they will be of value, right now they're value is probably less than what you paid.

Mine will not increase in value. Got the beast in October 2012 with 15,400 miles on it and at the end of July 2013 I have 43,000 so at this rate I will have VENEMOUS1 (Dr. Viper) rebuild the engine and replace the bad tranny with something that will hold up for another 100,000 or more. So, if one want to buy as in investment go buy silver, gold or guns. Maybe even a milk cow and plant a garden but my truck was made to be driven and that is exactly what I am doing.:rock::rock:

The value is holding up pretty well. Generally 3 years = half its value. 6 years = half of the half. 9 years = half of the half of that half. So $60K = $30K = $15K. 9 year old '04s with 100K+ mi aren't even going for that cheap.

I dont think these trucks will ever demand huge amounts of money. Simply because at the end of the day, its just a Dodge Ram. Very collectable for sure, but as far as actual cash value I dont think they will bring crazy numbers. Maybe in like 1000 years if it has 100 miles on it.

I think you're right. The closest thing in history I could see comparison to is the Lil Red Express. They sold for about $7500 new. Now for a low mileage one you can get $25-30k. Based on similar info, the most I expect a 10 to go for is $200k with inflation. Still was a handy tool in convincing the wife that buyin it was a good financial decision :D

The collectible ones will be just like every other collectible car out there.

Low mileage and unmolested.

How much does a 1967 Corvette go for with 150k on it? Not a whole lot.

I think it's more accurate to compare it to the 454SS's (a nice one will run you more than it did when it was new), the L's (still too plentiful to know), the Cyclones (who doesn't want one of those!). There is a collectors muscle truck market. We are just 10+ years away from being a part of it.

The 454 ss was a POS. Thats why I mentioned what came first.....the Lil Red. 454 ss still isnt old enough to have a collector market either.

No? then how come very clean low millage trucks bring over $20k? Lots of beat on examples on ebay for between $10k & $15k. For reference, they were $18k when they were new. I'm not saying they were fast (we all know that's laughable). But, they are certainly collectable.

So in all these years they have only rebounded $2k? Lil red has $22.5k on em. Yur maf is off caveman :D

I dont use twist ties on my bread. I just hold the open end and spin it, then tuck it underneath. Also, whenever I am trying to find a certain place, like a store or somebodys house, I turn down the music like its gonna help me find it. :dontknow:
