I body doesn't feel any pain just my mind. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. It really helps out a lot. Tomorrow it goes to the body shop for an estimate. I get to take time off work to deal with this crab.

I will be happy to get the truck fixed with just enough extra to cover lost time and wages only. I am not out to milk anyone just don't want to pay out of pocket for anything related to this accident.

If I was hurt that would be different. I will see in a couple of days but I'm sure I'll be fine.

The guy that hit me accidentally was sorry and accepted responsibility. Everybody makes mistakes. I just wish that this doesn't happen again.

I'm goingto get some smoked salmon now.

Thats a good question. Let me see............Sitting at a red light with 2 cars ahead of me and 3 cars beside me. Been at the light for at least 30 seconds before the impact. I would find it hard to believe that the tail lights had anything to do with it. It could have been a bright red with yellow tail lights with a disco ball and a big screen tv with a Flipper DVD playing and the guy still would have not noticed. The driver was simply not paying attention and made a mistake plain and simple.

The cops asked me if I was ok. I said yes and I am not hurt. The cops also asked the fish driver the same questions and he also said he was not hurt and said he was sorry for not paying attention when he hit me. The cops looked at both trucks and they said pull it off to the side and BTW I LOVE YOUR TRUCK.:rock:

The body shop estimate is for $1200 and maybe more if there is any damage under the bumber cover. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Just looks like cosmetic damage at this point. When the cover goes off on Wednesday then I'll know more.

Sorry about your truck. Glad you're alright. The others here are right that you might be a little more sore in a day or two. Be careful but at the same time I admire your attitude and your integrity. You're a stand up guy! I wish more people were like you. Calling an "ambulance chaser" should not be our first reaction whenever something goes wrong in our lives.

I got rear ended in my SRT8 when it was less than two weeks old in a similar situation. A little old lady looked away for a moment and BAM, right into the rear bumper. The SRT8 exhaust cut a nice pair of circles out of her front bumper cover. She felt really bad. What are you going to do? But, it was as good as new in a week or so.
