Just called Dom and left him a message. Spoke with Newmexico (Dave) and he said Dom is doing pretty good and might leave the hospital in a few days. I am sorry I was slow to react to this. Work has been a bitch  I am on it now though :D

I have the perfect solution. I have seen the process and the end product and it is perfect...one time cost is about $800 including shipping.

The process is called Permastar they provide a written estimate and the turnaround is about two weeks.

What's goin on Mothman :D I typically always scrubbed my wheels...Elbow grease works fine I think :D I just checked and this is the 348th thread dedicated to cleaning wheels :elefant:

I busted out the pressure washer for the inside of the rims. No luck. I'm going the brillo pad method on the inner rims, then rinse real good, then follow up with wheel cleaner and a nylon brush to makes sure all metal particles from the brillo pad are gone. Adding some wax after the cleaning should help for next time. Winters f'n suck.

You can borrow anything I have anytime you want it...if you ask for my wife, I hope you have better luck than me!

Watch what chemicals you use on the rims. On my motorcycle someone said to use simple green on the swingarm where all the chain lube got slung on it. I cleaned it, and rinsed well. It etched the metal. Thats the best way I can describe. Regardless, you could see where it was. Not good.
I think with the stock rims after damage has been done, the best thing would be to sand and then get a silver or black paint and just paint it.
A neighbor did this to his import (Acura) and it turned out better than I thought it ever would.

No clearcoat on the inside of my wheels, they are just the aluminum machine finish,if there was it doesn't look like it,there is no peeling where the pits are to show any indication of clearcoat.

Mine are bad and truck wasn't driven at all this winter.

Is there a difference with inside surface being clear coated vs. polished and regular wheels?:dontknow:

I've never seen any SRT10 with clearcoat on the inside of the factory rims:dontknow: The co. that made the wheels states no clearcoat...
