Which Supercharger and why?

Well, lets not get too wild with our comments!

I would have to go and get a manicure and massage if I got grease under a finger nail...

heres something you have to ask yourself, this point was brought to mind by a discussion Kyle and I had if you want a drivable everyday then the roe s/c is the way to go, the reason being when I bought kyles s/c I asked him about power and he said straight up the roe is almost to much for everyday daily driver and he is right it is just perfect for street and fun at the track the other guys with the big hp I don't belive they drive theres everyday listen to Roy (Prof) decide if you want a fast daily driver of a future track monster Stinker can chime in but once you cross the 700hp boundry daily driver is not gonna happen, and when I mean daily just that work and back except winter(mines on blocks already) but forge first then decide daily or weekend. IMO.

Yup, some wisdom from a guy who wrenches for a living...and has a quick ride.

That's correct Matt;) This is why I will more than likely go back with a Roe once I get my motor back:D

Yup wisdom from the misfortunate and guinee pigs. Just the advice and knowledge from this site, and one thing some seem to forget the uniqueness of our motors the top half is nothing but once you dig into the lower half (crank mains and so on) if you don;t know this block seek professional help. Even though I wrench for a living if I do decide to go more power the lower end will be done by someone who know this block in and out.And thanks again to all those who shared the wisdom, it is there you just have to listen:marchmellow: :marchmellow: :marchmellow:

Another thought on the Roe....Sean may be going to work on an intercooler and intake that will flow more air....the intake is the main reason the Row cant break the 700 HP barrier......his original design was for low boost using stock parts...the supercharger itself is capable of much more....

I am banking on it...:)

Don't get me wrong here I think the Roe is nice unit, but these trucks already have big issues planting the tires down in stock form I couldn't image it getting easier adding another 125-150 ftlb of torque to the wheels even with caltracs. If you like a smoke show and going through set of tires in a couple of months by all means the Roe this SC for you, and I'm sure that it must be a blast to drive. Also if you plan on installing the kit yourself it will definetly ALOT easier to install the Roe rather than the Paxton.

Now the Paxton SC is a little more timid in the lower rpm range, but an absolute monster in the mid and high rpm range. It just pulls harder and harder as the rpms hit red line never showing signs of plateauing unlike the Roe. I don't know if its just mine, but mine Paxton sounds like I have a turbine under my hood, and turns heads a block down the street even at idle I just freakin love it. I'll try to take some vids with my son tomorrow, and post them up for all to see and hear. Another advantage is the Paxton already comes with an intercooler which allows you to not use meth injection.

Just as everyone here has mentioned its all about how and what you want to use your truck for. Good luck in your decission which ever you choose.

Here's just my opinion.. With all of the money you will need to spend on bottom end preparation THEN buying a SC THEN installation, you might as well have purchased something else, like a SC'd GTS coupe. Eventually when the novilty wears off and your SC'd NR starts to feel normal to you (like it's stock), you'll be out perhaps tens of thousands of dollars and possibly will want to drop more on it. :dontknow: Just food for thought..
Let the guy have is fun. Spending money is FUN! If we all thought like this we would never do anything:D
