Who deleted my thread??

Just curious as to who deleted my thread? Is it ok for me to be ridiculed and berated and not be able to defend my position? 3 pages of jumping on me and I respond and the thread goes away:dontknow: :dontknow: And no I am not going to throw a tantrum and threaten to leave as others have done. I am here and have opinions just like everyone else!!!
 
I deleted the thread. It wasn't in response to any single post, though there were plenty of posts there that deserved it. The whole thread degraded into a bunch of insults, and it wasn't appropriate in my opinion. As I said, it wasn't any single post or person, the whole thread was polluted with trash. I would have deleted it sooner but didn't catch it until this morning.

I have to admit that I approve of Bob's deletion for purely selfish reasons....

The thread was (as many threads are) devisive in it's very nature. But this one had a twist: It was a rather mock battle between Roy and David that (quite frankly and regrettably) fooled the livin' shit out'a me....

It contained remarks that if someone had said them to me (even in jest) would have been way beyond the pale.. However, they were (in fact) totally acceptable to Roy.... But I was (unfortunately) caught up in defending Roy and got pretty hot about it.....

I did my best to delete the posts I made in error to decrease any misunderstanding of the situation and to keep anyone else from falling off the deep end as I did.... But all in all, I think the entire thread was in bad taste...

Most of these kinds of postings serve to do nothing more than divide the family here and create infighting and ill will..... We have more than our fair share of that already.

Threads and posts that relegate our opponents to objects of reviling are a bane on this forum... I wish this kind'a shit would stop. I myself have certainly become caught up with others even on my own side of the aisle over this kind'a shit.... Hell, I called John out the other night over some shit that I don't even remember.....

Let's cut this shit out.... I'm sick to fkn death of it....
