I am moving down from Connecticut down to to the Commonwealth in a couple of weeks and I need a good shop in northern va. I will be living out past leesburg. Any suggestions? Got real used to Chuck's level of service.

Also are the comp oil filters he uses hard to get? Should I buy a bunch before I move from him?

try getting some info from the VCA, there are some good guys down there.
never tried a comp oil filter, do they give more pressure?

I just use the mopar filters from walmart. How far is Leesburg from Norfolk?

Leesburg is about 50 minutes from DC. The comp filter provides better performance. Chuck swears buy em so do I. They are larger then stock.

Hey- not much help but I am in Virginia Beach and used to live in Fairfax- I didnt own the truck when I was there but if you're willing to travel down here (about 2 1/2 hrs from Leesburg) I know of a couple real solid shops- Good luck with the move!

I have spoke to Chuck @ Tator a few times. Very nice guy... Good luck finding an equal in VA.

WTF is a "Tator".....................?

Is this some kind'a redneck thing....?:dontknow:

D

A Tator would be Chuck Tator whom is one of the best Viper shops in the country. He is also the oldest dodge dealer in the country.

Seth, I live in Woodbridge and I will moving there as well. Leesburg is not that far from me. Let me know when I know the route 66 spot that is a hang out. and you should try JAX or excessive motorsports. Let me know I will get you some names & numbers.

myspace.com/vtcoa I know some ppl up there to.

We used to live in Gainesville before we moved up to CT. I am actually moving to Hamilton which is right next to Purcellville. 66 sucks, worst commute of my life.

What about any of the dodge dealers? Do any of them sell a lot of vipers?

Hi Seth, I call Woodbridge home. Yes the dealers around here do sell plenty of Vipers. I have been taking my RC to Stafford Dodge in Springfield, mainly for warranty work and some out of pocket Mopar stuff I had installed on my RC and on my MSRT8 (when I owned it). Their shop foreman is also their Viper and SRT specialist. He is really good. My experience with dealers is that they are hesitent to get involved with the aftermarket stuff.

But, If you want a really good aftermarket/install shop around Woodbridge, pay A&A Speed & Custom a visit. They have worked on Vipers in the past and don't have any problems working on them. They can do all the SC, headers, exhaust, gearing, suspension/traction aids, etc. Be prepared though, they do things first rate and don't let the customer hang out on their own. Especially when problems arise. All this of course somes at a price. For tuning, they know of several firms in the metro area that can dyno tune a Viper motor. Dyno shop selection comes down to what mods are done and what the customer expects.

I hope this information helps.

There was a place in Manassas called H&H.I have only actually seen one of their cars ........... a blown ,nitrous Viper.Phone number was 703-368-3045

Can't say anything about them good or bad, just know they were working on Vipers at one time.

hey, i actually live real close to you seth. If you've heard of gilberts
corner i'm literally 10 mins from there.. Unfortunately from experience
i wouldn't actually recommend anyone in the area to work on your truck.
I've done all the work on my truck myself because of the horrible service
i got from the Leesburg dealership, Chantilly dealership, and various
other shops. I reciently had to get new rear tires and i literally stood
at the bay my truck was in and watched them work on my truck. If you
need to get something serious done that can't be "done" at home i would
suggest you go to winchester or farther out that way. If you have any
questions let me know maybe we can meet up sometime

Regards,

Andrew
