At least she has two years of EXECUTIVE experience.... That's still leaps-and-bounds more than BHO. And OF COURSE, it's a attempt to get Clinton supporters. ;)
Took office Dec. 06. Will be just shy of 2 full years come the Nov. elections. And it's 2 years of Alaska Executive experience, 48th most populus state and 3 electoral votes. Does Mayor of Wasilla (pop. ~8.5K) prior to current stint as Gov give people the warm and fuzzies about government experience? My rinky-dink town is about that size and I couldn't imagine any of the local govenrment officials ascending to VP candidate in that short a time frame.

I think it's just enough, and not too much. She got rid of a LOT of corruption in the Alaskan Government during her short term. She also got rid of that "Bridge To Nowhere" plan everyone talks about. :D She may be pretty, but she is considered a attack-dog by many that know her. Her husband used to own a commercial fishing boat (which she worked nets on...), and is a native Eskimo. She's a tough chick.... Lifetime member of the NRA, Moose hunter, 10k runner, mother of 5 children (her youngest has Down Syndrome).... and winning Beauty Queen. :) :dontknow:

Oh, and the greatly funny thing is..... Sarah is the ONLY canidate of the four in this current race with ANY Executive experience. ;)

But would you vote for her for president? The difference between running Alaska and running the country is like running a 7-11 and being CEO of Walmart.

IMO I think it's a mistake. I guess we'll know for sure come November, but if I had to wager I think we will see a drop in McCain's numbers. Seems like a stunt to me to be honest.

Not Way in Hell, the numbers are rising, the Internet is thumping with this choice, and woman Democrats are very interested.

She is exactly what McAin and America need for VP. She is for the small town people, and those are the people who get hung out to dry.

Anyway

I think your right, it was a stunt... and possibly a mistake. But, there is really no GOOD candidate in this election anyway, IMO. So, what the hell, throw her in there. New people, new ideas. :dontknow:

McCain and Palin have my vote...he survived a rocket into his plane on the flight deck of the Forrestal AND a POW camp....and she is AWESOME!!!

A breath of fresh air...she especially has a disarming smile which will help when she weeds out all them dirty politicians in the Capitol!!!!:)

I cant believe you guys... Stunt? Because he had the balls to pick the fist GOP Female VP in History...

Whenever a leader does something different or unpopular its called a stunt... Then if it goes well they are called "Brilliant"

To tell you the truth I don't know enough about the CEO of Walmart, actually I know nothing about him (I guess it's a him) hehehe. I would like to see a qualified, track proven, CEO running though. There are plenty of folks to work in the cabinet and help with policy, but being the decision maker is different, and I'd love to see someone who has been there before and has had a tough board to answer to.

I really think that McCain might regret this. Who knows, he might even get an initial bump in the polls, but you can bet that the Dems are going to play the game of asking "would you want her to be president when/if something happens to McCain"? If they don't they would be complete idiots. And I have a feeling a lot of folks would answer no to that question.

It's a weird choice. But politics is a weird game.

I didn't mean it in a bad way, really.... They shook it up, pulled a Ace from their pocket. But, that Ace could be worth either 1 or 11, we will have to see. :dontknow: :)

Interesting pick... She will get the womans vote for sure. Look how Ferraro didnt help much. She was a lot different but still a woman.

Experience will be an issue for sure. Cancels out anything about BO in-experience. Also with McCants age, if something happened to him we would have a 2 yr governor woman as president...

A two year Governor with a constant 80-90% approval rating. ;)

That's Vice President Hottie

Talk about a 180 from Cheney.

I like her....

Something about unknown or non-mainstream people that shakes things up.

Many movies go for unknowns that seem to work suprisingly well.
