Why are the tires?

Scott just rotate them like I said every 5000 to 6000 miles and they will last quite a bit longer also.

Hey Smoke...

If the front's are wearing out faster than the rears that means you are doing a lot of turning when the truck is stopped...in the driveway etc....or what I call driving like a chick.....very common among Navy guys

Don't do that......:D

Thanks for the help you gay shampoo making wingless bitch!!!!!:D

braking is predomin. on the front and the truck being heavy with the engine weight on the front, the the front wheels "push" a bit around corners which scrubs the tread down.
that and driving like a girl.........:D

It's on!!!!!!

i rotate every oil change! cross the backs to the front and bring the fronts straight back. shows good wear on all 4.

just hit 12,000 miles today and have never rotated the tires....wear is perfectly even.....then again I am a man.....

Nothing but love for Smoke...but from time to time...this kind of thread happens....last time it was Smokeback Mountain...:D

I have 15,000 miles on mine, and I have rotated them every 6,000 miles they are only about 1/2 worn. And I don't drive like a girl.:D

Bill.

I just replaced mine with the Nitto NT420S.They had 20,000 miles on them and I never rotated them.I should have because the fronts were nearly like new with a little outside wear on both. The backs were balled since about 17,000 or so.I only did one power brake and that was it.The Nittos have a realy cool tred pattern and where $300 each mounted and balanced with tax. Some have told me they can get them cheaper but I couldnt.I was happy considering the Pirellis were a lot more than that. These will get rotated on an oil change basis from here on out.
