When I got back from my deployment, I traded in my slow ass car for a Chrysler 300C SRT 8. Ive wanted one of those for a long time and could finally afford it. It was great too. 6.1 Hemi, black leather, tv's, the works. So I spent about a year getting it just right, I lowered it, stripped the molding, some vinyl work, intake, exhaust, Diablo tuner, tires, powdercoted the rims black and had a set of 22's for cruising the beach in the summer. Well one day on the highway I was cut off by a semi truck and he clipped my front end going about 60 mph. This sent me of the road and I flipped it about 3 or 4 times before finally landing upside down. I barely walked away and the semi never even knew what he did. So after some time in the hospital I was feeling better. And I needed a car. So I went shopping, and I was just about to buy a Camaro SS when I saw it. Sitting there in all of its glory. I walked over to it, popped the hood, and forgot all about the camaro. I have always dreamed about this truck and then all the sudden I had the chance to buy one. Its like it was just sitting there waiting on me. 1 hour later I was driving it home. Every time I hit the red button I feel that little rush, and remember back in the days when me and my friends would sit around reading magazines with articles about the 10, and drooling over pics of it online. For most people its just a truck, but for me its almost like a dream come true. I lived through the worst wreck ever, and a few weeks later I had the truck Ive always wanted, but never thought Id actually own. Here are some pics of my wreck:

Looks like it was a pretty serious wreck. You are lucky to be OK.

It's interesting how many of us own, or have owned, SRT8's.

Yea it was bad dude. I really am blessed to have made it through both my deployment and that wreck.

I think its like an SRT fever! Once you get hooked thats it. I still dont like some of the smaller SRT vehicles though, nean/caliber/crossfire. But that 300 was bad ass, Ill probably get another one.

I'm seriously considering a new GCSRT8 for my wife.

Thats exactly what Im doing, or tried to do. She ended up getting an Envoy instead. Although we got a GREAT deal on it, I still would rather see an all blacked out GCSRT8 in my driveway next to the 10.

Wow, your lucky to be alive after a wreck like that! Your very Lucky!!! If you hook your 10 up like you did you 300 SRT-8 it's going to be gorgeous!
I remember reading about these trucks in all the magazines when it was introduced. It was love at first sight! I always wanted one!!!
Good Luck with your 10 VenomTruck!

Thanks!! This is one adventure I am looking forward too.

its pretty nice down there...whats your mos

Too hot here. Summers are so bad you have to stay indoors pretty much all day. I was infantry for a while, now Im a wheeled vehicle mechanic. Getting out this october, cant wait!

The nomenclature changed, I believe its a 90 series MOS now. 91D I think. I still call it 63 Bravo, did my AIT up in Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland.

I was very close to pulling the trigger on a 300 SRT8 for my wife just recently.

I like the older ones better. The newer ones just look weird to me. I want another one pretty bad.

My wife likes hers, but she is on a cts-v kick lately. Keep trying to tell her that we can just stick a blowe on her car. Although a 2010+ V is altogether nicer car than her 06 SRT8.

I like the CTS-V too, I'm not ready to spend that kind of money right now. This 300 just fell into my lap, sort of, it's an 06 with 9k miles on it, black, garage kept its whole life. It's almost perfect and the price is right. We are still kicking it around.

With only 9k miles I'd snatch it up, could drive it for a year or two and probably still come out pretty good on it.
