I can certainly understand the logic behind pumping that idiot up. But one thing I do consider is that whether or not I engaged that clown was ALREADY driving like a fool before I stomped on him. If he takes out a family of four after I get off the freeway because he continued to drive like a moron then that's God’s plan. Do any of you honestly believe he would drive normal while on an opened stretch after flipping dangerously from lane to lane between so many other motorists when NOONE was encouraging him in the first place? And to cut me off in the process when I was actually minding my own business? I hope no one here is that naïve to think I am the one that riled him up. He was already on his way to being a “Richard Head†driver.
NO, I would not feel guilt if he were to destroy lives miles down the road after I discontinued my run. If you ask me I’d say he would have done that anyway with me as a factor or not. And when it comes to accidents like that sadly they happen frequently everyday. Can I stop every one of them? No.. Can anyone else here? No. We have no control over it. I’ve seen my fair share of tragic end results while on patrol that didn’t make the news anywhere. And because people don’t see it apparently they believe it’s a nonexistent occurrence (like the fallen tree in the woods but no one was there to hear it, so it didn’t happen). You might be able to control yourself and believe in your mind that some ricer like that is going to just behave and observe the posted speed limit because you elected not to run him. But a person determined to make an ass like that of himself while driving can’t be stopped unless he comes to his senses before it’s too late or if it IS simply TOO LATE.
Honestly, I need to stop talking about anything I see or do while out on the roads. I can't help but to be under the impression that only some are "allowed." I only share it because I am still running a stock tune and I enjoy what I accomplish. I appreciate some of the remarks from my co-members here yet I frown at others because it all seems a bit hypocritical to me. I doubt if after beefing up horsepower 100, 200, 300 points or more the owner is just going to drive at normal speeds all of the time. Granted driving that fast is dangerous and again I don’t encourage anyone at all to do it; but to each his own. If you want to remain 100% safe while sitting on so much power then I suggest you put your wings back on. I don’t have experience in riding a motorcycle so of course I won’t try it because my abilities just aren’t there. But I’ve successfully driven time and time again at high rates of speed in the rain or slick roads because I was taught to and often the job required it. I think I can handle 140 on a straight away upon dry 5 lane pavement. My experience sustains my confidence and if I didn’t have at least that, like the motorbike, I wouldn’t try it at all.:dontknow:

I'm not sure where they do those high speed pursuits at - I can guarantee there wouldn't be one on the Hollyweird freeway between 8:00 am and 8:00 p.m.Venom Power said:

We have had this discussion before, its old news, and many were imbarrased at the results.
The bottom line is 99% of us bought these trucks for one reason, 500hp truck and fast, and we try to make them faster.
Those that say they dont are only fooling themselves.I even remember many tales that all of us have told
I hold everyone here close to my heart as a friend, I only ask that when you do use the power of these trucks or beasts we own, use good judgment, just like drinking and driving, know when to say enough is enough

Back to the first post, why does every yahoo in a flippin mustang think he can smoke my truck? Doesn't matter if I'm going to wal-mart or just cruising around. Can someone please explain why this is. When I was younger I owned a 5.0, it would run low 12's and I never drove around constately piping vipers. Is it just in the water these days or what

Well D I'm thinkin there's some wisdom there, but we all buy these trucks to play!! I don't think I've seen any SRT10 wrecks on TV lately. So that means that the most of us are responsible drivers, although we like to drive fast.......Thank you for the heads up input though.Silent D said:
