one thing i liked about Vista, its built in disk managment utility.

I was able to partition the drive without any third party software and the 7 install took 40mins.

I am probably one of the few that likes Vista. I will say that it is a memory hog. I am running Vista Ultimate 64 Bit with 8 gig of dual channel matched chips (DDR 800) and my damn internet still takes a second to boot up. Other than taking a crap load of memory I don't have any problems. I hope this Windows 7 is as good as you say it is!!!!!!! I would love a faster operating system.
