who knows about a REAL wing that would help rear end stability and would not disturb the truck lines to much ? Believe me, the originals are a joke , just looks ...

If the one you have on your truck is the cut down one, it is absolutely the wrong one, so, yes, it is just for looks......

Even though it didn't "lift off" during your testing, it is in no way providing the proper down force. You need the proper wing!!!! Dammmm Barry, I'm sure you have a plasma cutter, get some aluminum out and make one !!! :):):):)

Or maybe you could try one of these (Kasey Kahne drives for Dodge) :D :D :D :D :D :dontknow: :p :p :p

You could make it adjustable for the angle of incidence and on the wickerbill part make it where pieces can slide in and out at different heights so you can fine tune it like formula 1 - then you can adjust for any track you go to. :D :D :D ;)

Didnt you do some research on this?

no , not yet. But what i see : every sports car above 500 HP has a serious wing design to help ...ok, sometimes it's hidden in the hole car shape ... we cannot do this with our truck shape ... so we need a F1 size wing ... :D

Ok then you work with Denise on this. She seems to have a good idea. Meanwhile Dale is working on the 4 Link.
This should solve the problems. GO!::rock:  :) :) :)

i have a dream... 2 big NACA inlets in the bedcover , a wing in the bed and air escape trough grilles in the taigate.... high tech would be hidden ... i have a dream... ;)

that's why i should hide our advantage :D

1.2 G on the skid pad ? :dontknow: :D :D :D :D
we need to mesure the pressure zones on the cover ....

Wing pic.

These pics do not show the adjustable wing supports or chute mounts that were fabed up after these pics were taken.

nice idea Jack , over the rear ... but is flat/bended plate enough ? don't we need the inversed airplane wing section ? :dontknow:

perhaps a small deflection spoiler on the roof can help very much on the air flow towords the cover ... and his inbuild wing ?

just shooting ideas ....

The angle can be adjusted up as necessary, it does not take much angle to get lots of downforce. Wings like this make a tremendous amount of downforce at speed.

do you have #'s of those types ? what we want Jack is already sufficient downforce at 60, 70,.. 90 mph... i imagine 300 lbs at 60 mph... :dontknow:

I don,t know,
But,Chrysler set the record at 154 plus with this wing,How fast are you trying to go??:dontknow:
I ran 155 with the wing(a little scary if you look in the rearview).
And 160 plus without(gaylord speedstur cover)and extremely stable!!!!
Just my 2 cents!!!:D

Chrysler claims a downforce of 400 pounds with the SRT10 wing at high speeds.

Something is causing rub marks way ABOVE the rear tires on my plastic wheel well liners without ever having anything in the box. I weigh 200 pounds and bouncing on the trailer hitch with the truck parked doesn't come close to lowering the box enough to get near those marks.

Also, that 2" wide slot underneath the wing is supposed to create what Chrysler calls a " horizontal cylindrical tornado" which creates a high pressure area on the tailgate instead of the normal drag.

So, I think the wing does "something".
