Wiring problems possible solved.....

Ok fellas i need some advise here. As you all know i have a 03 Ram with a 05 srt10 engine and ive been having issues with wiring. I changed the headlight/fuse block wiring harness, fuse block, taillight/fuel pump harness to the 05 ram srt10 harness. Truck fires up and runs, but my dash looks like the fourth of july and im throwing TPS, o2, evap, and couple other codes and also almost nothing electrical inside the truck is working. I thought about repining the dash harness, but there is 74 wires in the main plug and about 30+ wires on the other small plugs so im thinking it may be a little much. I located a COMPLETE 05 srt10 dash from x2 builders for 1500.00 and im thinkin i may just bite the bullet and buy it and just hope that that solves all my problems. Cool thing about getting the complete dash is my top piece of dash are old and cracked now and also id get the nice center bezel and also the srt10 cluster. Any input would be nice or if anyone knows where i can get the dash cheaper that would be awesome. Thanks in advance

My guess is you're running a combination of PCI (or older technology) and CAN bus wiring and devices that aren't communicating with each other. You may end having to rewire the truck to 05 specs. I think the dash cluster is a start but you may need more than that. I would also try and get your hands on a 05 SRT and 03 wiring diagrams with connector and pin call out diagrams. You may be able to splice, modify, and reuse some of the 03 harness.

Sorry, strike the CAN bus comment. I recall the CAN bus didn't appear until the 06 model year. The PCI setup was used for 04/05 -- I think...:dontknow:

Oh ok cool. Ill keep that in mind. Let me see if i can talk these guys down on the complete dash. I wouldnt mind getting the cluster, and center bezel to go with this project srt10 ya know. 1500 seems like a decent price, but im wondering if id be able to sell my stock dash for a few hundred bucks ya know. PM me about what your looking to get for your harness. I bought a complete interior harnesses on craigslist from someone but it was for a RC so its a little different

PM sent on that harness. With a baby on the way spending 1500 on a complete dash might be a bad idea at this point lol

Also do you know if a RC and QC gauge clusters are the same since RC is manual trans and QC is auto trans

They are indeed the same clusters as when I had a manual truck tune put on my QC PCM it took the shift indicator display off which was cool! I thought the RC wouldn't have the indicator screen at all for shifter selection(auto) but it does, just turned off in programming
