Anna is still in the hospital. She will be there till Friday or Saturday at least. The test results have not come in yet but they are reasonably sure it's Staph Infection and the bad one. We will know more tomorrow.

I was in the hospital in '92 and the phlebotomists gave me a staph infection... a bad one... I was in the hospital another 4-5 days just trying to get rid of it with IV antibiotics...... sucks....

God Bless you, Anna..... get well soon.

Yer a real firecracker and a headstrong kid, but we love ya'....

Sorry, havent really been paying attention..just saw this thread..Hope Anna is doing well and has made it home..

Brad,

Do they think its MRSA (methycillin resistant staph aureus) or VRSA (vancomycin resistant staph aureus)? I hope its the former and not the later. Hope she gets well and my prayers go out to her.

No Anna is not coming home today she has this vaccum like thing hooked up to her opening in her breast and might be home on Monday but not sure the Doctor told her this morning they are going to put something different like the vaccum thing now on her on Monday not sure what5 that mean I went down stairs when the doctor came in and talked to her I will find out more later and let you all know. I have been spending the night in the hospital with Anna for support and all.

Thank you some much for all of your support it means a lot to me.

The doctor thinks it's MRSA but is not sure till the lab results are in.

Sometimes life teaches us painful lessons, we just hope that they aren't too painful.

Bill.

If they aren't painful,we seldom really learn from them
That is where we get experience.

Experience is harsh teacher ,for she gives the test first and the lesson after.

Hope there is no permanent damage and that she is home again soon !

still praying tfor you guys...stay positive Brad

MRSA is some bad stuff, hopefully that's not what she has. If so, hopefully the Vancomycin will get rid of it or maybe they have something even better. Be careful that you or anyone else visiting her doesn't get it too. Sill keeping you guys in my thoughts and hopefully she goes home soon.

Brad, you, Anna and family continue to be in prayer. If you have any questions about care when she gets home, give us a call. P.S....helpful hint-if she has to go home with Vancomycin(oral or IV) ask for a prescription of Protonix if the antibiotics hurt her stomach. It really helped me out.

OMG:( I was hoping to hear something better than this all..
