working at home

I keep hearing about people that have jobs working from their homes making very good pay.----Does anyone do this? What companies do this?.....I'm not talking about the internet scammer work at home jobs....
I have known one person that worked for gmac that made $105,000 a year doing underwritting ---any others ?---How does one apply for this type of Job?

I work from home.... But, I have my own business, in the trucking industry. :dontknow:

It sounds GREAT, on "paper"..... But, just remember, when you work from home.... You never really "leave" the office.

Working from home certainly sounds good, but in reality it can be worse than an office.
For one thing, there's no "going home sick".
Next, since you're home all the time, all the errands become yours. I'm pretty sure the dry cleaner thinks I'm a cross-dresser.

I work from the house, but my business is slightly different. I'm an inventor and I have both my shop and my office at the house. I don't make $100K/yr (yet), but I'm comfortable with my setup.

It takes a pretty structured and disciplined person to work from home. Admittedly, it took me a few months to get in that frame of mind.

If you love what you do, it's not work.
It's life.

I work with a company called LANDSTAR. We are 100% Owner-Operator truck drivers, and 100% privately owned capacity provider (what I do)..... It's hard to explain, but basically, I have my own customers that I serve... and Landstar provides the trucks/drivers. I get a percentage of the freight charge, and manage my accounts. Landstar and our great truck drivers do the rest. :rock: It's the best set-up in the industry..... but it's EXTREMELY hard to get into.

Well, it's usually Rachel's work gear- blouses and pants.
But even then, does she really think I'd fit in to Rachel's size 0 stuff?
I believe she does because I get "the eye" when I drop off the clothes.

I work from home as well. Property management/supervisor. I have the luxury of working when I want but don't have the luxury to take time off since I'm on call 24/7. Working at home has it's up and downs but at least I'm home with the family most of the time.

My GF works @ home doing QC for Conoco/Phillips reporting systems. Its a program called wellview for drilling & completion work they have tech's all around the country. Her area right now is Wyoming & Colorado and she lives here in NM.
