WTB 4:56 gears

Are you sure that is the direction you want to go?

I lost time in the quarter when I went to the 4:56 from 4:10.

It does drive better in lower gears in traffic...

I'd think she might be more fun to drive around with the 4:56's

Huh?:dontknow: Dude you gotta paxton!!!!! :burnout:

I love my 4.88's............Unitrax are the gear people. I spoke to the owner when I was considering which gears to purchase and he was super nice and a big help in deciding. Give em a call.
Make sure you get new bearings with the gears...........it'll save ya time when you get em installed and they are cheap.

Sorry Patrick, As unitrax is not a vendor here and we do have vendors that sell that product I have deleated the link to them in all fairness.

Litemup, with your paxton I would not recommend changing out to 4.56s.

However, if you insist on doing it your best option is to find someone with an 05/06 that wants 4.10s (for a S/C or turbo set up) and swap out the entire rear end units. Justin and I did the swap and it only took us a few hours to complete it. And there was no cost to either of us.

Around town with a NA motor,the 4.56's are great.For track use,highway traveling and Forced Induction motors,the 4.10's should work great.Just my .02 :D

I'm only putting down 535 rwhp N/A but with the 4.56s and the M&H 390s I am bumping the rev limiter in 4th gear in the 1/4.

If I had a S/C I wouldn't chance it. That's a lot of work, only to possibly find out that you now have to shift into 5th gear at the track. That would suck.

With the huffer and 4.56:1 gears I'm setting on 5800/rpm in 4th at the end of the 1/4-mile run. :elefant:
