WTB: SRT-10 Ram Engine Harness 05-06 RC only

Its an 04, Ive got a customer that needs an 05/06 because of the knock sensors and crank sensor. Thanks though

If it comes down to it, I can make you a conversion harness and supply knock sensor mounts, or, tell you how to delete them... this is no big deal to take care of if the customer will work with you.

Or... give me a shout and tell me what you need. I have access to plenty of Viper engines.

Hi guys, new guy here looking for advice, i have a 2004 viper engine out of a viper, but its fitted in a euopean ford sierra car, a friend has got it running but it doesn't seem right, seems to be missing and running lean, we are guessing that its not getting all the correct signals from all the correct places, we have been told to use a 05030004AC viper ram pickup harness (seems to come up as a 2006 harness) along with another part P5153824 so as to make it plug and play, been seaching and a new engine harness seems a bit pricy, can anyone tell me if the 05030004AC is a 06 or what year it is, and can anyone help me with either of these parts, new or used

here is a pic of said car and engine at a show over the weekend

Are you running the Auto tranny or the manual? That makes all the difference!:dontknow: Being you said out of a Viper I assume manual. I don't see a reason you cannot use the Viper Car harness or 04 Truck harness. The main thing you need to note is the location of the Crank Position Sensor! Early SRT10s had the Crank sensor reading off the flywheel, whereas the later SRT10 (05+) read off the crank itself on the passenger side of the block. It sounds as if the Crank/Cam sensor are not in sync? The CAM POSITION SENSOR had to be installed in a specific way as far as depth to the cam Sprocket! This is MOST IMPERATIVE!

yes the engine is manual from an 04 srt10 viper car, all the sensors should be in the factory locations, could the cam sensor be knocked or could any of the sensors get knocked while being freighted, another question, would the truck harness and the other available harness i listed allow us to run normal guages and tachs or would we still have issues there as well, we aren't using the body control modual either if that makes any difference.

Yes the sensors can be damaged in freight for sure! You need a datalogger or scanner to look at all sensors and see what the values are. Not sure on the guage hookup part of it all. Coolant temp, Tach, oil pressure, voltage should be simple. The speedo I am unsure of.:dontknow:

we don't have the the dignostic plug in the harness we have, so not sure how we could get any data from the sensors other than maybe seeing what voltage they read by going round each one in turn, just had a little play. unplugged throttle position, cold start, oil pressure and temp sensors one at a time and engine didn't cut out or change its tick over just carried on running, is this normal, taking off one at a time the cam sensor or the crank sensor causes it not to start.

the o2 sensors are not wired, we did get a pair wired in but it was running way to lean with them connected, guessing we wired to the o2's after the cat to cause this, would wiring in the other 2 o2's help, the car is running no cats and the PCM (ECU) was bought from DC Performance when they were in business.

SOunds as if most of your problem is the O2 sensors! The fronts have to be working for sure! The rears can hang loose out of the exhaust stream with sensors attached!! Or they can be tuned out in the PCM programming. YOu do indeed need the OBD2 connector to verify readings for sure! So long as the wires are there you can use any OBD2 connector from a wrecking yard whether GM, Ford, Daihatsu, Hyundai, etc. They all use a common OBD2 connector. Do you have a wideband )2 sensor? How do you know it's running lean with the O2s you had connected? The O2 wires you'll need to hook up are usually on top of the bellhousing area. And you say "wired in the O2s"????
Did you buy the UNIVERSAL O2 sensors? If so return them for the plug and play Bosch O2 sensors. They should plug into the existing plugs with no issue. The Universal ones sucketh!:D
