x-metal shifter noise question ?

So do I, but I did cut about a half inch of the seam that faces the dash.

you had to cut the stock boot ??

why, was it causing issues with the shifter ?

The joint between the lever and the shifter was too big and it would bind in the 1st, 3rd and 5th positions. So I took a exacto and cut at the front seam about 1/2 inch. That gave me exactly the right amount of additional movement.

When you are my age movements are incredibly important.
