If one studies that specific area of Scripture (Genesis: chapter 18) just a bit more thoroughly, it becomes clear that God promised Abraham that he would NOT destroy that city (area) if there was so much as ten righteous men there. Considering that, and in addition to the fact that (dispensationally) we no longer live in the dispensation of THE LAW but (moreover) the dispensation of GRACE.. (after Christ has redeemed us from all our sins) It is very bloody unlikely to have a repeat performance of Sodom and Gomorrah...
If that was God's M.O.... Hell, He'da very likely wiped out the Nazi's with a lightening bolt long before the Holocaust.
I'll take it a step further and say that the USA (most probably) has (at least) a small percentage of good, honest people in it.... (Stinker notwithstanding)...and I doubt that even the fierce God of the Old Testament would destroy one of the last bastions of the Abrahamic Covenant based on a some knee jerk response to internet porn or (even) a lousy turn-out at the local Presbyterian pot-luck dinner.....
Sorry about the Biblical discussion (all you pagans out there).. But he raised a Biblical analogy which neccesitated a Biblical response...
