I always leave mine in drive with the O/D off in town. Races are usually over in a couple hundred feet anyway, so i'ts pretty easy to pull it down into low if you think you need it.

I just bought a set from Steve Austin and just put them on the truck. I had the insides powder coated black and to quote the guy at my tire store "them's sexy". I'll shoot some pics tomorrow and post them up. Also had my calipers powder coated and they look kick ass. Can't wait to install them...

Scott, I'm a little concerned that you say the plug appears to have suffered some heat damage on the #3 cylinder since this is the cyl that fails on the STS trucks. Does it really look melted, or is the gap just bridged? It's hard to tell in the pic. Jeff

Glad to hear your wife came out OK Scott. I think it's an electrical problem, not a mechanical one. Like others have said, check the plug and the wire and you will probably find the culprit in one of the two. Jeff
