just found 93 oct. gas for 1.02 per gal.

i got overpaid big time when i was overseas. my pay was supposed to be around 14k, but my wife called me and she said i got paid 28k, i told her to sit on it and not do anything and i figured they would figure it out right away and want it back. i did not want to act right away and get them all screwed up in payroll. well two weeks later got paid again and it was 28k , so i had to make the call. payroll told me that they would not have caught it because it was an error in perdiem pay, not personal pay. so i had to give back the money, but i took pride that i was one of the highest paid employees, well at least for a month. and of course, doing the right thing....

Yesterday at the cafeteria the registers were not working correctly and the people had to figure out the change manually. The machine did not tell them to give back $3.55 for a $1.45 sale if you gave them a $5.00 bill.

Well the gal in my line could not do it. The guy in front of me gave her a $20.00 bill for a $7.10 lunch. He got $19.90 in change, and just walked off. She screwed up mine also, so I counted it back to her and gave the excess back. Well the guy that took the $19.90 in change was at the condiment station when I walked up and I told him that he should give it back. He didn't know why he should and planned on keeping it. I then reminded him that once a year we are all required to sign an Ethics Agreement, and that what he was doing was not ethical. Still didn't care.

Just goes to prove what I have said since we started having to sign this Ethics Agreement. Signing a piece of paper does not make you ethical. That is up to the person and what kind of person they really are.

Your company should start using a polygraph on a yearly basis. That will curve down some of that...:D

I would have busted him out on the spot. What a piece of work.

I was over paid once back in early 1998. Made the company aware of it as soon as it happened and tried for 3 months to give the money back. Couldn't do it. I still have the e-mails of that time to back me up just in case some stumbles on it and tries to make me pay it plus interest.

....because turning a 100,000,000,000$$ profit is "ethical"

Are you a capitalist? Or are you a socialist?

If Red SRT 10's are in huge demand...will you sell to the highest bidder?

If so your comment is flawed.

Wow, was that a ludicrous example...red would never be in high demand.

I was going to say the same thing Roy! :p :D

Sorry, I got a little light headed...

If you want to limit the gouging of the oil companies do something...buy oil company stock! Go to the stock holder meetings and tell them to lower their prices and make less money. Then be ready for the laughter.

Maybe a better approach would be to put your money into alternative energy companies and hasten the development of an alternative to oil...

I've always tried to be honest --as some have said honest to a fault---one time I drove off after paying for items and getting gas at a quick stop---as I was driving I realized that the bill was lower than it should have been ---I checked the receipt and they didn't put the gas charge on it ----Damn I was at least 25 miles away heading home from a long trip ---I turned around and went back to the station and paid them for the gas...
Another time as a young kid ---I found a $20 bill on the ground in front of a house and went up to the door and asked the man if he lost it ---guess what --he said he did and took it.....that made me feel like a fool ,(I knew he was full of it after the fact that is).....But as life goes on , I do realize that what goes around comes around.......I'm just waiting for the karma ;) to come my way......;)

If you always do what is right, you can't be wrong.

Thats fine but I am not going to feel any regret about LEGALY getting 60$ off a tank of gas, if I know there making billions. (Yes, I know the parent companys don't directly own each gas station.) I am a capitalist, I would capitalize on someone selling there product for 30% of their compertors, every time...

You fail to realize that the 60$ is not coming out of the oil company's pocket. They already have their pound of flesh. THINK!!!!!

It is your neighbor who owns that station that has lost the money...he still has to pay for the product that was delivered to his station.

I fear you are just too dense to understand that the loss is going to be shouldered by the little guy...probably by you! The owner will probably declare all of the loss on that day to pilferage, pass the loss on to the government and your tax bill will go up...serves you right for being so damn dumb!

Sorry, I have no tolerance for ignorance.

OK...I'm a professor but not a math professor...

Here is the data:

There are 3.7854118 liters in a gallon...

One British Pound Sterling is equal to 2.06200 dollars (and falling or is that increasing...which verb is correct???).

Michael is paying 1.02 pounds for a liter.

Our brothers in the UK pay: $___________ per gallon....

Keven, Kevin, Kevan!!!!!!!! Help....please...

Never mind..I got it...

$7.961629514232 USD per gallon I think...

So 27 times that number is...probably grand theft.

The additional detail provided for Kevin, Kevan and Keven...

Shoot, don't quote me...I think you are right for an Imperial Gallon, US gallons are smaller...we get smaller gallons than you, we get bigger genitals in the deal...sounds good to me!

We need Silverback bad!
