What I had done:

Extreme Duty Rebuild
Billet Input Shaft and Hub
Billet Intermediate Shaft
Billet Direct Drum
Billet Torque Converter 2500 Stall
Mag-Hytec Transmission Pan
Dana 70 Mag-Hytec Alum Pan
Hi-Energy Rigid Band
48 RE Valve Body w/ELT

Exreme Duty Rebuild = This Master rebuild kit offers the shop or DIY truck owner a complete kit with Alto Red Hi-energy frictions, Kolene steels, gaskets, seals, sealing rings, rigid intermediate band, billet strut and anchor, billet 4 ring accumulator. The extreme duty rebuild kit furnishes all the soft parts to accomplish a complete overhaul. It increases clutch count in direct and overdrive.

Mag-Hytec Trans Pan = PML transmission pans provide increased lubricant and cooling capacity for hard working recreational and service vehicles. Cast in A356-T6 aluminum, black powder coated with machined cooling fins, drain plugs, temp., and steel hardware, it sets your vehicle apart in aesthetics and function.

Dana 70 Mag-Hytec Alum Pan
=
• Magnetic drain plug and anodized aluminum dipstick with magnetic insert
• O-rings require no gaskets or sealant
• Routine lube maintenance without removing the differential cover
• 1/8 NPT temperature sender port
• 303 stainless steel hardware
• Lube level reference plug
• Finned aircraft aluminum housing
• Requires allen key wrenches (included) for installation and service
• Fits with most factory suspension systems and aftermarket anti-sway bars

Valve Body = The valve body controls gear selection, line pressure (clamping force), line rise (meeting torque demand), converter mode, flow and pressure, along with shift timing and quality. The Sun Coast valve body addresses all of these areas to enhance transmission operation and durability. The Sun Coast valve body allows for crisper shifts, enhanced converter operation, cooler operating temperatures, and increased lube flow. Full time converter feed assures lube flow while in the park position and under high throttle conditions. Torque converter clutch loc-up can be achieved in all forward gears when used in conjunction with a controller. This feature is desirable for optimum exhaust brake operation.

Torque Converter =
This torque converter has a substantial lower stall, approx 650 rpm lower than factory with an efficiency rating of 93%. This converter should be used only if you have a quick spooling turbo and are willing to accept firm engagements. This converter has a steel CNC machined billet cover, steel CNC machined billet piston, triple clutch discs, billet CNC machined radial pull stator, Torrington bearings, furnace brazed impeller with hardened hub, and hardened steel turbine splines with reinforced mountings.
• Increases torque capacity
• Adjust lock-up and shift firmness
• Reduces drainback
• Full time converter feed
• Reduces light throttle shuttle (1-3, or 1-2-1-2-1-2)
• Precise max throttle upshifts

Billet Intermediate Shaft = Designed for higher horsepower/torque engines, this performance product has been tested in excess of 1,400 ft/lbs of torque. Shaft is machined from 300 Maraging AMS 6514 material then Heat Treated for torsional strength and precision ground on all critical diameters.

Input Shaft and Hub = The input (turbine) shaft transmits the power from the torque converter to the transmission. Increased power levels and heavy loads can exceed the OEM shaft and hub capacity. Torsional overloading can result in shaft fraction or stripped splines in clutch hub. Severe damage to the pump or torque converter may occur. To address this Sun Coast recommends our 300M alloy steel shaft and 4140 hub.

I drove down for the day, left about 3am to get there at opening; kid at a candy store again. Spent most of the day there and got the grand tour courtesy of Joe at Sun Coast. They are located in Fort Walton, FL which is a few miles from Eglin AFB, most beautiful area. Their shop was bigger than I expected. I count about 18 workers there in various shops as I got the tour.

About my truck: Spent a pretty penny at Suncoast, not cheap and I can post the prices if you like, but oh man, the truck is a different animal now. You would spill your coffee in my truck without trying. It hits every gear so damn hard it throws you into the seat. It also launches like a champ now with that 2500 Stall Converter. I bet I take off 1/2 sec of my 1/4 mile time (don't ruin my dream if you don't think so :D ). It feels like I have a SC installed or hitting the NOS. As NBT says, "A Complete Raped Ape!"

Here is my old Differential Cover and the new Mag-Hytec Alum Cover (Dana 70).
Now holds about 4.5 quarts of fluid compared to about 2 quarts (I would have to look it up in the manual). Use Amsoil's SAE 75W-140 Differential Fluid. So it holds about 2X the fluid and keeps the temps down. As you can see, it is a very sharp looking cover too. It cost me only 240 bills for the part (same for Mag-Hytec trans pan, may want to look at group buy option). You can also see all of the differential junk pulled out with the magnet inside. Quite surprising how much and only after 8K miles!

Now has a large dipstick to check fluid level instead of a window. Can add fluid by top where dipstick is located. Also has drain plug.

Working on my truck. Very efficient and fast workers. (loved to play with train horn)
Almost had to remove a Belanger header to drop transmission. I didn't bring any header gaskets, so something to think about if your headers interfear with removal.:dontknow:

Overall, very happy with performance of truck. A little shocked at price of system but good peace of mind now. Estimated rated over 1,400+ ft-lbs of torque (limit of the dyno). Ready to Rock n Roll to Roe!:thrasher:

I bet u didn't know I can balance my truck on my cranium (see pic).

That is all now.

Bone signing out. :burnout:

One question. Did you really go with the convertor that lowers the stall speed 650 RPM???? :dontknow:

Great pictures by the way. Thanks for sharing.

I have a 2500 Stall Converter.

Thanks for posting. BTW...I had about the same material on my magnet with my last drain/fill. Previous 2 drain/fills showed normal material attached to the magnet. That large piece you show was/appears to be identical to what I had. I had dodge do a complete axle rebuild (under warranty) as both myself and Viper tech knew something was/is coming apart. Turned out that piece came from an inner wheel bearing outer casing.

Getting the parts for the rebuild was difficult. Dodge had to pull them from the production line in mexico as no new parts were available here state side. I took that to mean its not been a problem with our axles.
