Why are you here, now?

To learn about Viper Trucks?
To get new brake and clutch information?
To find parts?
To sell your truck?
To converse with friends?
To start a GTG?
To buy a truck?
To catch up on the latest build?
To buy mods?
To see what mods you want?
To get ideas on how to get that last tenth at the track?

What if it went away overnight?

Would you be sad?
Would you text all the people in your phone about it?
Would you stay in contact with the people you've met?
Would you continue to have GTG's in spite of it?
Would you sell your truck?
Would you be glad? One less thing you feel like you have to do during the day.

When you come on here...how do you feel?

I can't wait to see who's bickering at whom.
I can't wait to see the timeslips section.
I can't wait to see if i've won TOTM.
I can't believe nobody knows what tires i should buy!

Let's all take a step back and realize a few things:

There are less than 9,000 trucks on the ENTIRE PLANET.
They will NEVER build a truck like this ever again.
We are a small knit family of trucks that HAS to stick together.
The only aftermarket is the one's we've created.
If you haven't experienced it, someone here has.
If you have experienced something, someone else will eventually need to know.

This place isn't our private text message area where we can just say whatever we want whenever we want. I myself am probably one of the most guilty people to start spouting off at the mouth whenever I think of something. If, for no other reason, you need to reply to a thread about someone or something, please respect where in the forum you are. We don't need to come home and clean up all the threads because this entire forum IS NOT in an offensive section...taking the "off topic" posts aside, the verbiage is the biggest culprit...think about what you're going to say...for the sake of those who try and keep the place as clean as possible. There is a time and place for friendly nut kicking....just do a double take...or sent a PM...or start another thread...or text them, even.

I'm going to strive to be more cognizant of what I say, and where I say it. Will you? If for nothing else, let's at least respect the original poster of the thread. I believe we could all benefit from it.

Thank you all,

Dan

big props! I myself don't post up a lot, I'm still on the learning curve. This forum helps me in future decisions and hopefull if the time comes, problems solved with quick resolve.

The thought of it not being here anymore would kill me! lol I swear I'm on here checking out the latest info and threads multiple times through out the day and night. I live out in the middle of Kansas where I know these trucks are quite rare and being able to keep in touch with many others with these trucks is absolutely amazing to be a part of!

One of these days I'd really like to be able to meet up with some of you....fingers crossed, one day soon.

Just wanted to put my thoughts out there and hope it enhanses on the very thing Dan was saying.

Thanks again everyone!

Keep on truck'n with the tires smok'n!

Ray

I believe when order is needed, something will or will cause to happen to get everyones attention, and by the sounds of it, looks like something did.

It's too bad as humans, mostly, we only can learn from seeing the misfortunes of others, before we take a look at ourselves and figure what we're about.

It would be a terrible thing to lose a site such as this one. With all the plethora of information so readily available, it's easy to see how so many people could forget that someone else took their own time to help guide their fellow brothers.

Supposed to look out for each other. But when personal life begins to be a part of business life, or any other of the mix, you can see how even a joke could turn ugly if looked in the other way.

Forum or not, I saw the truck first, and that's what made me happy!

IDK.... with work and personal things going on in my life - i just dont have the same amount of time to spend on the NET

this forum has helped ALOT in the past - and i have talk / ment ALOT of great people

his forum has become more of a getaway for me. At first, I came here for information, then I realized that these trucks are actually pretty easy and basic to work on. Now, it's more about the friends that I've made. That being said, Dan is right. We need to clean up a bit. I'll even do my best to keep the Tank inline. As tough as he comes across, he's easy to reign in. Hahaha

And to Wes, again I aplogize to you for taking the screwing around too far yesterday, brother. I think you know where you and a few others here, stand with me. :)

If your going to take all of these steps before you post or respond to a thread, your never going to post again:D

As i just got my truck in Dec, i need this place! Coming out of that Cadillac and dealing with the one and only forum full of "drop it off at the dealer, whats a mod?" crowd, I really enjoy this forum and the folks i've gotten to know since i joined.

This forum and the people I have met through here have been a wonderful experience. I would not have the kick ass mods that I have if it weren't for Tony and the rest of you here. I enjoy reading your posts and replying to them. I try to be respectful to others and only pick at others in a harmless manner. I don't want any of your angry with me for any reason. I personally like to laugh and would much prefer to make you laugh when not on a serious topic such as this one.:)

this is not a "serious" thing...or a kicking in the shins of anyone in particular...honestly...

just trying to remind people how cool this place is!...it's ours to let fall by the wayside...

i mean...think of it this way...without it...the friends that were made on here may never have been!!!

Screw the friends. Without it, you'd a never had a hot chick like that sprawled over the hood!! And yes, the fact that you would have never met me. Your brother from another mother. :elefant:

I understand what your saying Dan, I sometimes need to be reminded to not to take people, forums, and my honey for granted. Let me start by thanking all of you on here for being you.

Ok....this didn't take much thought as I'm not trying to B.S. anyone. This forum and other forums to me are an avenue of communication besides the phone that I use to communicate with a small circle of guys that I consider friends.

When I first started, it was just about me finding some info and help with my new 10. As Tony, Dan, Santeen and Troy know very well, i am not too mechanically inclined. A lot of you guys have helped me out a lot and it's very much appreciated.

Now, not trying to defend or justify my lashing out sometimes but what goes unnoticed is that it is almost always a response to something someone else has started. While you guys and gals read my posts, you most likely thought "what a rude m-f'er" and "geez, this guy is a major a-hole!" and maybe even a "how the hell does his wife put up with that c-sucker?".

Those are prob some of the thoughts from the members who don't "get it". The guys that do and don't take things so personal, just laugh and crack right back.

All you "old school" dudes need to realize that things change and new blood is good for the system. Not trying to sound disrespectful cuz you guys are the most knowledgeable about these trucks and nobody is arguing that fact. All I'm trying to say here is don't let what I type and post get you so wound up. I am pretty aggressive mostly and have quick, sharp comebacks. I expect the same in return and i swear it won't bother me in the least bit.

If what I say or what i bring is not for you, then just don't reply and most likely I guarantee i won't mess with you. I will only post on your threads when it's a serious on-topic reply and move on.

Did I just start rambling or was it just me? Anyways, I enjoy these forums and most of you that are here......most. haha jk.:aetsch:

Peace, HANK:rock:

"Bullying" is a serious issue! Bully's normally have very few friends due to their constant insults and demeaning banter . They claim it is all in fun and invite you to join in and insult back ,but don't get involved in his game because he will drag you down to his level then beat you with experience! As difficult as it is, just ignore the comments and don't play his game ! That will drive them nuts! Ignore is wonderful !

I am on this forum when ever I get a chance ! It is my home page! Lots of good people and info on this forum .
