SCT Question

Well thats a no go, banks dont want to do the new loan for 60 months on a 05...they will only do 32 months which brings the payments to $1000 bi-weekly. I also went and looked at a Chevy Cruze (girlfriends idea) and they showed me the book value of the truck...low is $25,000 and high is $28,000....derrik dodge was only going to give us $21,000.

Derrick Dodge has screwed a lot of people. Be careful dealing with them. When these trucks first came out they had the highest dealer markup of any of the dealers around here.

I have a Canadian Truck, all my gauges are in metric and my Overhead console has both standard and metric functions.

But I think most of the SRT's around Edmonton are US trucks.

Yea the sales guy at Northgate Chevy was saying the same thing about derrick dodge. Also it pissed me off that they wouldnt give me a dime for aftermarket parts on my 370z when i traded it in for my QC, but they wouldnt budge on the price of the QC because it had aftermarket parts. They are doing the same thing with the QC and RC now.

I have dealt with Derrick lots and yeah the screw a guy over very well!! The only way I found to deal with them is be a dick and tell them what your going to do otherwise they will walk all over you! And make the deal seem that you dont need to do business with them that your willing to go elsewhere they tend to come around!

I say BS!! Take that beauty of a QC and the space it has (reason you bought it) and slap a 6 speed as I have done. There nothing like seeing a QC lift the nose between gear shifts! I have gained 4 MPG, lost about 75 lbs and gained back about 50HP. Check out my threads about the conversion. I have equaled my best time with the auto as well and that was spinning thru 1st and 2nd;)

Worst comes to worst you can patch up the tranny. And try to sell private,You might get back some of your money from the mods this way to. And while it's for sale you can drive it and have some fun still. We all know going private is not the quickest route but priced right it could sell quick. And then you can buy private and avoid some taxes and the stealership BS. Maybe even throw it in Kijji advertising that your looking to trade your QC for an RC some one might bite on that to.

Excellent point, and nice night runner BTW!:rock::rock:

They called me back to see if we can work something out, they suggested i got get a $10,000 personal loan to pay of the difference....so thats about a $45,000 loan for the truck then another $10,000 on top of that...for a truck they are selling for $34,000...even tho on autotrade.ca they are pricing it as $31,000.

I decided to try a different search on autotrader. They just got a silver SRT-10 QC in...30,000km for $37,000. I found 5 trucks at different dealerships in alberta that are selling their trucks with less km's (between 10,000-15,000kms less) and cheaper ($5000 - $7000 less) So the silver QC they just got in is 30,000km for $37,000...theres one truck outside the city with 17,000kms and its only $30,000.

I also found 3 trucks (quad cabs) with less kms and less price then the one im looking for. So i told him to either drop the fucking price of the RC and/or give me more for my truck or im taking my buisness else where. He said let me talk to the manager about new numbers and we will call you back.

Nice!!! Givem' HELL !!! You give them the price you will Pay! Just be realistic and they will bite!

Like I said ,dont be nice to those guys, tell them your working a deal on another truck and they offered you way more on the trade!!! BS them like they do to everyone else!!

Ok so heres the final thing and i need some input on this...

While browsing around on autotrader i found 2 trucks at Northside Lethbridge...a 05 RC Grey and a Red QC...with a retarded amount of chrome(which i would take off right away) and a supercharger...cant remember what its called...not ROE i know that. Also they say it has internals for the tranny.

Both trucks are american so on autotrader the say kms but its actually miles. So the RC is 21,000 miles and is $28,000...the SC QC is 30,000 miles and $29,000. Also i told the guy in lethbridge what derrick is offering and he said thats bullshit and said he can give me about $25,000 - $26,000 for my truck.

Heres the pictures...maybe guys in the area know them and can input some info on it.

So i told Derrik Dodge this and they said this is the final deal...they wont go lower.

$31,000 for their RC with 26,000 miles on it and they will give me $22500 for mine. He said my best option is to go to the bank and get a personal loan for $53,000 and do it that way. (i know the amount is high, mainly cuz i fucked up getting my 370z and got screwed on it...but thats another story)

So lets make this easier....

Option A:

Derrick Dodge's 05 RC, 26000 miles on it for $31000...offering 22500 for mine (i like this truck over the other two)

Option B: 05 RC Grey, 21000 miles for $28,000 and maybe $25,000 (not final).... (not a fan of the grey/silver...no offence to anyone)

Option B: 05 QC Supercharged, 30,000 miles for $29,000 and once again, maybe $25,000 for mine. (i would love the supercharger but i would like a RC for the transmission and lighter truck.)

Option C: Keep my truck and just deal with the transmission (dont have the straight up cash to repair/upgrade or swap it)

What do you guys think.... I love the Red RC at Derrick Dodge but the other 2 are possibly better deals...but why get a truck if im not 100% in love with (pretty much why im in this position now..lol) Oh and both trucks at lethbridge have tonnue (however its spelt) covers.

I can't see the red QC all that well, but that looks like Hennessey badging under the SRT-10 on the door. I could be wrong though, can't squint hard enough to make it out.

I posted a question about Hennessey a while back. Seems most have negative things to say if they do the install. If they dropped a SC on a stock engine I might shy away from it. I'm in the middle of putting together a mod list for a SC install I'm trying to do ASAP.

Good luck to you.

I could go down to Lethbridge and check those trucks out for you.....let me know.:)

yea that would be great. If you could try taking both for a drive that would be better...especially the QC...see how the transmission feels.
