Had a GREAT day at the strip today. Set a new personal best ET and a new MPH record for myself at Famoso. The air was perfect, the left lane starting line was the best I have ever seen and other than a slight headwind it couldn't have gone better. My previous best ET at Famoso was set back in May 2011 at 11.971 @115.31. My best speed was set on 6-10-2011 at [email protected]. My personal best ET before today was set at Sacramento Raceway on Oct.9 ,2011 at 11.937@ 114.56mph. Here are my 5 runs from today and 4 of the 5 beat my existing record of 11.937. The first 3 runs were in the left lane , run # 4 was the right lane and the 60' was terrible, run 5 I went back to the left lane.

Run1: 10am, temp 50, DA 153', 60' 1.652 (my best ever), 1/8 mile [email protected], 1/4 mile 11.845 @ 115.15.

Run2: 10:50am, temp 53.6, DA 374', 60' 1.674, 1/8 mile [email protected], 1/4 mile [email protected].

Run3: 12:23pm, temp 57, DA 602', 60' 1.667, 1/8 mile [email protected], 1/4 mile 11.818@ 115.98:rock: New personal best ET.

Run4: 2:25pm, temp 57.9, DA 674', 60' 2.125, 1/8 mile [email protected], 1/4 mile [email protected](right lane was terrible)

Run5: 3:22pm, temp 59, DA 768' , 60' 1.780, 1/8 mile [email protected], 1/4 mile 11.924 @ 116.94mph (New best speed at Famoso) This was the only run where there wasn't a slight headwind. Runs 1 thru 4 were all into a slight headwind, not bad but still a headwind. Run5 the wind was dead still. I could tell because the Flag was visible from the staging area. All in all a great day, I never expected a run as good as the 11.81.

Two new tricks today, although I was still on the old M&H drag radials. I had a new aluminum seat (racing) which saved about 20 lbs. I also tried a "clear lexan cover over the front grill for aerodynamics. SRTBrad will post some pictures in a few days and you will see this mod. Cover is removable and I don't drive to the strip with it on. I usually wait an hour or so between runs and let the truck cool down.

I have ordered new 16x10 Bogarts for the rear and I have already bought some new M&H Cheater slicks that are 30" tall . Next time I hope to get the 60' down in the 1.50's....plus I will try to lose 20-30 lbs before next spring.

I see you were in the left lane.....Ha....try the right lane:D

Something tells me that he was in the right lane. If u look close, that right lane ran a 12.?? at 112.??. That makes more sense on street tires. Bet they got the lanes mixed up.:dontknow: Just sayin.:)
