My photo thread

Sorry to hear you lost her man. I have raised many, many dogs. Used to breed Labs. One particular female black lab we had for just over a year. So she kind of became my dog. I did a lot of obedience training with her and took her everywhere with me. She was small for her breed and lineage but a beautiful dog nonetheless. Then my unlce said that the local coast guard recruiters were looking for a search and rescue dog so he set up a time for them to come look. When they came they said they normally don't dogs that old but since she had a lot of training already they were interested. They wanted a lab, due to them being perfect water dogs. About a year later I got a picture in the mail of her being dropped out of a chopper hovering about 20 feet off the water to rescue some boat wreck victims. I have tried and tried to find that picture but I am afraid I have either lost it or left it back home in Illinois.

I need to train someone to do that before me... whats the trick

that depends, K-9 or human???

I have had a couple Goldies growin up, Labs are super smart. one of ours made it through the 2nd stage of advanced obediance. it was all hand signals, good dog. nothing like my buddies Pitt though.

Just curious, where in IL is "home"

Itty bitty town called Martinsville. It's about 30 minutes west of Terre Haute IN.
