On my quad cab it sometimes wont fully engage into park. Is this a common issue?

On my quad cab it sometimes wont fully engage into park. Is this a common issue?

Is it right before you turn it off? If so, are you waiting a couple seconds before you shut it off? Mine does this from time to time. It does in fact engage in to park but the indicator does not say so. It only happens if I throw it in park and turn it off immediately. It is like I am not giving the indicator enough time to change to park before shutting it off. Then my alarm won't arm and I have to start it back up in neutral.
