thats the one....also in the hardware kit is a "fishing wire" you have to fish the bolts through the tube frame (if that makes sense):D

flo6...the picture of your hitch looks like ONLY about 1000 pounds, the real hitch used bolts on under the frame, etc....and can handle about 7500 pounds....my Dodge dealer put it on as part of the sale price ...and put in the 7 pin as well...my $.02

Thats all your dodge dealer put on your truck, the 10's come with the support for the hitch already on the truck, all they do is add the part where the reciver slides in.

These hitches are not for the SRT-10s.

The 2004 Dodge Ram SRT 10 does not have a tow rating! It was designed to go fast, spin tires and embarrass the ford lightning. It does have the bumper bracket that will accept the smaller hitch and can pull tree stumps with appropriate traction!!! The clutch hydraulics are a weak point. the hitch comes with installation instructions and will boltup without issue.

all of the 10's have the bracing underneath and the welded bracket to accept the hitch, whether mopar, or otherwise.

i challenge anyone to find in the manual where it says "do not tow" i've read mine cover to cover more than once... in fact it even states "follow manufacturers recommended tow load ratings..." or something very close to that.

the hydraulics aren't the weak point for towing - they're a weak point regardless... it's the clutch disc and improper driver usage that causes failures...

but what do i know... i only put 95k miles on the first oem clutch;)

Arrestme....the dealer had to put the TOTAL hitch under the rear bumper, they told me their mechanic knew how to do it without removing the rear bumper cover, he just gets it up in and totally across the vehicle.....the factory doesn't want you to tow because of the clutch only, if you do it once in awhile and NEVER go to 6 th gear when towing you will be okay

i tow in 6th all the time...

and i don't know what hitch they're installing, but i'm about 99.99% positive you can't install it without taking the cladding off the rear bumper...
