Ok I am seriously considering buying a quad cab 2005. It has just over 100,000KM on it. I just want to know what problems have been encountered when owning your srt 10? Is there anything that should be coming up that needs to be replaced anytime soon.. I also have a young family that I would like to ride with but i am curious to how much room is in the back seat? Is it comfortable for kids without kicking the front seat>? The person selling it has told me that their is nothing wrong with it but it seems like a good price i have to take advantage of, which also gives me a weird feeling there could be something hes not telling me! Is it hard to find parts for since its an old truck with a viper engine in it>>??? I really would like to get a lot of back round on this type of truck because i have a track record of just going with my gut and not exploring my options>!

Welcome to the VTCOA. Where are you located? I ask because of the km instead of miles. The room in an SRT10 QC is no different than a regular dodge QC. The transmission is the trouble spot for a QC. All SRT10's have issues with leaking oil cooler lines and some have had trouble with the power steeering lines. Parts are available for our trucks, but can be $$$. Lots of mods too!!:rock:

I live in Canada. And that link helped. And I'm going to be looking for leaking lines. I really like the truck. How do I do I know if that tranny is going.?

84k on my trans, no problems, I drive it everyday.

Whereabouts?

The QC transmission needs to be serviced at recommended intervals. If the truck has power adders, the transmission is going to be a weak spot. We had one local member fry his transmission with no mods.

I just moved to Alberta.. But apparently it hasn't been driven in the winters! I'm
About to look at it now

There are several of us in Calgary, Edmonton and other cities. Where is the truck? We may know about it.

The truck is in cochrane and I really liked it and I think I'm going to buy it tomorrow. It looks to be in good shape and drives good. It does have the coolant line leaking but they have the hose to replace it. She said she had the transmission serviced not long ago and the reason for selling is they have too many vehicles at the home.

I'm 15 minutes from there. I would gladly look it over for you, but it would have to be later in the day tomorrow or Sunday. PM me and I will give you my cell number.:)

I would like that very much. I'm going to get the transaction done in the morning tomorrow. I would like to get your number ill message you later
