Just to give everyone an update. We have been able to get a Viper Truck section on VOA's forum. We have been working with them on this and the possibility of letting us join at the national level. So for those that are interested check it out. www.driverviper.com.

I was just about to post something like this. Thanks for letting the community know Jay. :)

The goal is to open up a greater opportunity for Viper Truck Owners to go to events and be formally recognized (hopefully) by SRT. As a group we did well this year in doing more GTG's. We need to expand.

At some point we may need to have an official structure within the VTCoA to work with the VOA (Pres, Vice Pres, Sec/Treas and Regional Presidents)

Jay, I've been working on some By-Laws for a few days now. When I get them done, I will mail them off to you for you input. Andy, can I send them to you also?

Absolutely, it would be an honor to assist in any way to lay the ground work to make this happen.

Andy / Jay,
I'm going to see if I can get added a place for us to put this together on the forum. I think the three of us can get this off to a good start and we'll see what happens from there.

Good deal, looking forward to it. :D

Some of us have been working on this for over a month. Great conversations and encouraging emails. The VTCoA on it's own (even organized) has no chance at a relationship with SRT. Some of us are trying to change that and build this into something even better.

I've thought that if there was more for Viper Truck Owners to do through out the year, it would encourage conversation and excitement. it's going to be hard, however, I really think it can be done.

I know there is going to be some push back, not only from the Viper Owners but also from the Viper Truck Owners (reasons too numerous to count) however, the door is open and we need to risk, to gain. maybe thats been some of my frustrations as of late. Working really hard to benefit the Viper Truck Owners (with nothing personally to gain) and we can't seem to pursue a common goal.

Bear with me, I will do everything I can to bring the Viper Truck more into the SRT spotlight and even if I fail, I know it was a challenge worth taking up for the Badest truck ever built. I will not make everyone happy, I'm sure I will piss off a few....

Jay has been a tremendous liaison with the Viper Owners Leadership. We can do this

There is no reason for anyone to be pissed off at this; those that don't want to participate can sit quietly on the sidelines and watch.

We ought to just call it the VTCoA Owners Association now that I think about it. As we haven't had the split the the Viper folks have had.

I just don't want it to seem like we are not considering Canada, Europe, Asia, The Middle East and Down Under

Thoughts

Agree wholeheartedly! This vehicle IS AN SRT, its heart IS a VIPER MOTOR! Anything for a more positive light & recognition is a good thing for all of us. As mentioned previously, not want to participate, don't. Anything I can do to help?

DriveSRT's website does have an SRT heritage section that has the Ram SRT10, so I know they know we are out here but it would be awesome to get into the limelight for sure. When I went to the ALMS in LimeRock CT this year(with an SRT hospitality package) I was the only Ram SRT10 there and had the opportunity to do 2 parade laps with all the Vipers and SRT's, drew a lot of attention as I was the only "truck" on the track that day......
