not sure what happened. thought I posted this new thread. just isn't showing up.

I picked up a RamSRT10 two days ago. She is a bonified RAMSRT10. I inspected it through and through.

The vin # is 1d7ha16k63j662670.

Out of boredom I ran the vin with Comprehensive VIN Decoder. But their information came back showing the vin belong to truck assembled in St. Louis, and that it had a V6

Can anybody advise me as to wtf is up with this?:dontknow:

NO.... not even close

However, if you have a Viper Motor in it...... Drive it like you stole it!!!!

Vj

it is really a SRT-10. It would be insane to clone it with all moving parts as that of the real deal.

Well, I'm pretty sure they didn't make them in '03.

So i'm gonna go with no.

Your vin should start with 3 instead of 1 I believe as well. 3 denotes Mexico, 1 denotes USA.
It also states indeed that its an 03'.
Pics of truck and interior/engine bay?

Mine was made in november 2003, so a few were made in 03, mine was #50.

I'll check later but ViperJeff already confirmed by build info...How's the back doing Scott.?

All parts match up (from full interior, brakes, rear end, tranny, motor). I just tried to load some pics in a album but it failed (said something about a security thing). Will try again though.

Go to photobucket and upload pics from there to here using img code.

I'm not trying to be an ass, however, it's not a factory RAM SRT-10. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY CONVERSIONS OUT THERE. HAPPY THAT YOU FOUND ONE OF THEM, THEY ARE STILL VERY COOL... CONGRATS (not yelling, just making a point)

I would be leaning more toward the side of the truck was totaled, fixed and used a different vin and title. If you want to check the vin, open the hood. on the passenger side next to the headlight is a metal plate welded to the core support. Might have to remove the headlight to see it. Check the vin there and see if it matches.

This is what it looks like, and if the vin doesnt match, run this vin. If it does match, you either have a clone, or a SRT that was badly wrecked and rebuilt with another cab and nose. The inner rail this is welded to is welded to the cab as well.
