I understood everything you said very clearly man, but I don't know if they can. Believe me I've tried. :)

Hell they got so frustrated they left. Yet all day they kept repeating themselves like retards thinking they were showing Scott up. Can't blame them for trying though, must be damn right impossible for them to try and keep up with the rest of intelligent society. Lol!!! :laugh:
 
There will always be bantering and different opinions but I can't swallow burning a man's profession or extra income with opinions that aren't based on experience.
 
Yup I agree. Honestly I'm a little disappointed. I expected more of a challenge to shut them up once and for all. :(
 
Hahaha. Just read some of the other thread. You guys crack me up. Not shorty though he does not make me laugh. He makes my stomach upset.

I respect everyone's opinion as there are many valuable ones, this whole club is great and every member and vendor has something to offer. I like where its said I don't work on my own shit, being someone that turns wrenches is why I can't sit back and stroke those who cut corners. Doing a job right the first time is something anyone who is mechanical should live by.

This all started because corners were cut on halfa job Shorty's truck resulting in numerous attempts to do it "right".

In the end, its your truck and your wallet - if the posts here are convincing enough for you to spend your money on - go for it but don't expect everyone to puddle in their drawers like you did...

You tell me Danica, was it ignorance, laziness, or just plain stupidity that prompted you to not change valves in a 100k motor with known piston issues? Was the on again off again cylinder head juggling blissful?

You don't like what I have to say, but how am I wrong? clutting corners and half assery is a good rule to follow????

Shorty you're a good guy. Scott's a good guy. You're truck's better now. Scott finished with your truck fixed at no further expense to you. That's honorable even if some think he could have done it differently to start with. Not everyone is perfect and mistakes happen even under reasonable circumstances like this. Everything else is just drama.

If all this happened between 2 guys working in their garage then yes, it's great they got it going.

However the fact is, that this a profit based business that went thru this debacle. Not 2 guys under a shade tree. What compounds it is that the mechanic does not see anything wrong here.

That is where the disconnect lies. You guys can give out your participation trophies to all, have a group hug, and dance around the maypole.

I respect the fact you speak your mind. I agree with you on the half ass work, but don't think speaking poorly about someone's business is necessary. Especially due to the fact that it's not affecting you personally. It's just your opinion and what you stand for. But if this is Scott's livelihood, then you are tampering with more than speaking poorly about a person. His customer is obviously happy, that's all that shorty meant by this thread. That you would have done things different and that it would have saved some time and headaches down the road is nothing more than a good practice not necessarily a standard for anyone who is being considerate of somebody else's money.

I know you mean well, but your execution makes you seem so disgruntled and like this is a personal vendetta. Not a fact.
