what year to look for

Hey everybody,

I have looked a thru the forum a bit and haven't really been able to find an answer to my question without doing hours of searching (yes i can be lazy) lol. I am about to sell my o6 vette and maybe my 90 454ss truck then buy an srt10. So my question is which year does everybody lean more towards? Lol I know it is kind of a loaded question and i will get all kinds of answers but that is what I want a bunch of opinions and differences from year to year. I have an idea of what I want but being new to the srt10 trucks which will be a whole new game for me being a Chevy guy from day one. Almost definitely leaning towards standard cab so that might narrow it down.

I have a 2005 commemorative edition. It’s the standard cab, white with the blue stripe down the middle. Super nice, with 37k miles. They made 200, mine is 114. Not sure what to ask. Can send pic. John

2004 easiest to get parts for.

Simple, THE 2005 RC.

Bigger 4 piston calipers up front and 4:56 gears that the 2004 does not have.

Lighter than the 2005 quad cab with better handling and traction (lower and has the unique slapper bar and kicker shock with stiffer leaf springs).

Lighter that the 2006 without the TIPM issues.

Funny, I have had NO issues. Must be a "Rust Belt" issue. I do not have moisture or corrosive environment issues (Ocean, rain , salt, snow).

Another reason why the chassis is so clean

Its a matter of preference I like my 06 Quad cab NR. Since you prefer a Regular cab, they made them in the NR edition hope this helps.

I second that. I have had an 04 and an 06. I far prefer the 06 and would buy one again if I decided to get into another SRT Ram.
