Sreamin' Demon Coils are fitted and Live Wires too. D.U.I. say open the plug gap to 0.065"....Woah! I could ride a bicycle through there. New Spark Plugs courtesy of Rock Auto
Put my tune in from Torrie at Unleashed Tuning. I got the latest HP Tuner box and have VCM Suite on my laptop and VCM Scanner as well. Can watch it all in REAL TIME....while I am driving up the bank or on the wrong side of the road lol.
Totally different animal. It is not struggling anymore it is definitely running lighter and smoother. Best of all it doesn't burn your eyes when you walk behind it or pull up at the lights. Should waste less gas now. Couldn't tell you if it's any faster hahaha. But then who cares

What a pig of a job to get the intake manifold off. Had to grind down a spanner and a socket to get them to fit. Very sore knees and chest from kneeling on bumper and leaning over radiator etc. I won't be doing that again!!!

1/4" drive, extension and socket = Not too bad through the openings on top of the manifold. #9 can be interesting for sure.

Yeah pretty cool. I like the 65 thou plug gap that should burn a bit more of it.

Hey why not, I might look into that velcro idea.....

The . 065 gap should provide better fuel economy and has done just that in many combustion chambers

Each combustion chamber is different and may have different results. I know what it did for the 455 Buick motor in the 68 Riviera I used to have. That was amazing, I had to slow the idle down a lot and the exhaust was a lot cleaner smelling

460 Fords respond the same way to the larger gaps.

I also remember having to reduce the gap on the brand new vehicles that came into the GM Dealership I worked at years ago as the .060 gap recommended by GM was too wide and the vehicles ran rather rough until they were tapped back down to .040.

I pulled the trigger on wires, plugs and coils. I'm going with Mopar performance coils, Live Wire, an NGK. I've seen several folks talking about plug gap. Anywhere from .033 to .065. My local speedshop is recommending .040, is that a good gap? Thoughts please.
