It was a great luck for me to find here the oem bed cover from the crashed night runer, but i have no idea how to install it on the rams bed, i think there should be some holes in front of the bed and some pins in rear, anyway I tried to find on forums some pics but I cant, so its easy or not? Maybe someone have images?

There are 2 bolts that screw in front of the bed and the back you have to have the rollers on which it latches. When you bought your bed did you ask them for all the mounting hardware? If not call Scott @ X2 builders they will sell you what you are missing but it will be pricey.

FYI some 10's especially the 04's and some 05's did not come with a tonneau cover. What year is your Ram? the 04's did not come with a cover but some 05's did have the option of either a full cover or a spoiler only mounted towards the back close to the tail gate.

My '05 only came with a spoiler also..but I needed to cover up the bodies for Tony the Masher..so I went with the ARE cover/spoiler set..as the factory spoiler didn't fit..can someone recommend a good bed rug cleaner..the stains are getting worse. ;)

If you have a RAM SRT-10 that did not come with a RAM SRT-10 OEM Tonneau Cover, you will need 3 holds drilled on each side behind the truck cab, a total of 6 holes drilled into the bed next to the cab. At that location you will need 2 bracket/hinges and 2 base plates (the base plate is attached to the bed between the cab and bed), the 2 brackets/hinges attach to the base plate. You will also need more hardware that is to be attached to the side of the bed (inside the bad on the left and right side of the bed). Holes must be added here to attach this hardware. The purpose of this hardware is for the Tonneau cover shocks to be attached to.

You can contact me at: [email protected]. I can send you pictures of the hardware you need and where it should be attached. You must have all the hardware 1st. If you are missing hardware I suggest you contact X2 Bulilders, they may have it on some of their salvage trucks.

One of the things that buys don't know is that if their truck did not have a Tonneau cover from the factory they need all this additional hardware and holds drilled into the bed of the truck.

I have taken some photos of what is on my truck. I don't know what is factory and what is not. Has electric openers which were added by previous owner.

    Hi Kiwi SRT10,

Your Tonneau is not an OEM RAM SRT-10 Tonneau Cover. Here is my email address: [email protected]. If you are interested I will send you pictures of what the OEM RAM SRT-10 hardware and attachments look like.

Yeah just been through the build sheet again. My truck is a real early example, only on 285x40x22 and no deck lid. On the bright side being made for TX it has the maximum cooling system

Well, Sigma set me straight about the bed cover set up. He saved me a lot of money, if I'd have bought the cover/spoiler set up, I would not have been a happy camper. Thanks Sigma! So, I called X2 Builders this past Friday, and ordered an OEM bed spoiler, and should arrive this week. Then off to the paint shop, and then install :) One final thing, does anyone on here know how they mount to the bed? I've read that they are detachable to be able to load stuff in the bed if needed.
